kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 4.7 39ef28ea9e fix(scripts/tests/env/common): drop single-quoted printf that breaks compose-exec wrap
Inner `'==> %s\n'` collided with Make's `cmd='$(cmd)'` recipe wrap, mis-tokenizing the line and exiting 2 in every test-development variant.

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 4.7 490f0919ab refactor(make): replace INFINITO_CMD with cmd parameter
INFINITO_CMD is a per-invocation argument, not a config value — drop it
from default.env, the passthrough STATIC_KEYS, and the dotenv-generator
test, and rename to lowercase `cmd` in Makefile targets, exec scripts,
internal callers, and user-facing docs.

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 4.7 c3ff093df0 refactor(scripts/deploy/local): mirror host wrappers with container/ subtree
Renames the three in-container deploy helpers out of `utils/` (where
they lived next to unrelated bash libs) into a `container/` subtree
that mirrors the host-side `apps/` layout one-to-one:

  utils/fresh-kept-all-init-and-deploy.sh  -> container/initialize/all.sh
  utils/reuse-kept-all-deploy.sh           -> container/update/all.sh
  utils/reuse-kept-app-deploy.sh           -> container/update/selection.sh

The `fresh-/reuse-/kept-` prefixes were overloaded ("kept" was
universal, "fresh/reuse" duplicated the verb already encoded in
initialize/update). New names use the same verbs + scope as the host
wrappers, so the host/container halves of each flow share a name.

Updates the three host wrappers under apps/{initialize,update}/ to
point at the new in-container paths and modernizes their
cache-retry keys (`fresh-kept-all` -> `initialize-all`, `reuse-all` ->
`update-all`, `reuse-<app>` -> `update-<app>`).

Adds READMEs for container/, container/initialize/, container/update/
following the project documentation conventions (H1 + trailing emoji,
RFC 2119 keywords, env-var tables, cross-links to the matching host
wrappers) and extends deploy/README.md with a pointer to the new
subtree.

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 4.7 54f88275ce feat(cli/console): stateful navigation, ls, and modular split
Reworks the REPL into a stateful shell that tracks a category path: typing a bare category name cd's into it, `/` returns to root, `..` walks one level up (chained as `../..` etc.), path tokens with slashes or a leading `..` navigate, `infinito [path]` always jumps absolute, and `ls` renders the current folder with a 🗂️/⚙️ emoji column, name, and a 30-char-truncated description (folders sorted before commands). Executable leaves (sub-packages with `__main__.py`) run instead of cd-ing into them. The prompt prints `🖥️ infinito <space-separated path>> `; the screen clears (incl. scrollback via `\033[3J`) before each command run, and the run echoes the resolved invocation in the fresh frame so the user sees what is about to execute.

Splits `repl.py` (~250 lines) into focused modules: `constants.py` (sentinels), `navigation.py` (path/category resolve + prompt + normalize), `ls.py` (folder rendering + truncate), `runner.py` (subprocess dispatch + clear_screen), `banner.py` (startup banner). `repl.py` is now a thin `main()` loop with backward-compat re-exports so external consumers keep the `repl.<symbol>` surface. Mirrors the split on the test side into `test_navigation.py`, `test_runner.py`, `test_ls.py`, and a `test_repl.py` that owns only main-loop integration with a shared `_MainLoopHarness` mixin.

Adds `scripts/tests/environment/11_console.sh` as a CI smoke that feeds a navigation sequence through the REPL and asserts every prompt shape plus the `ls` emoji output, so a regression in the prompt format, the path resolver, or the folder rendering is caught by the environment-test orchestrator.

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 4.7 b5c3f33b56 fix(ci): surface in-container ansible log on the runner for role-runtime summary
The CI `📊 Top role runtimes` step parses `$ANSIBLE_LOG_PATH` on the
runner, but ansible-playbook actually runs inside the dev container via
`docker compose exec` — and the env var was never forwarded there, so
the log file never materialised. Even when set, the log would have
lived inside the container, invisible to the runner-side parser.

Forwards `ANSIBLE_LOG_PATH` through `compose.exec`'s `extra_env` so
ansible-playbook writes the log at the configured path inside the
container, then `docker cp`s it back to the runner from the cleanup
trap before the stack is torn down.

kevinveenbirkenbach 5545cbe9c7 fix(test-deploy): run entry-bootstrap with --compile -- true
`entry.sh true` skips `run_local_build` because `true` is treated as
the exec target rather than a flag, so the in-container reinstall step
never ran. `--compile -- true` triggers the build first and then runs
`true` as a no-op exec target.

kevinveenbirkenbach 664457b739 test(lint): verify every make <target> reference resolves
Catches refactor drift across `.sh`, `Makefile` recursive calls, and
GitHub workflows. Includes fixes for the 5 bugs the new test surfaced
on first run: `make -C ROOT down`/`up` in the network stack refresh
helper (missed during the compose-* rename) and four
`make compose-deploymode=…` / `compose-deployapps=…` typos in
07/08/09_deploy_*.sh plus three docstring/echo references
(missing space after `compose-deploy`, introduced by the
deploy → compose-deploy sed-rename).

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 4.7 605f29a2f8 refactor(make): rename deploy to compose-deploy
Move the deploy router into the compose- domain prefix to match the
rest of the local stack lifecycle (compose-up/down/exec/...). Reorder
its block alphabetically between compose-down and compose-entity-purge
to keep `make help` and the alphabetical-targets lint happy.

Update every active call site: contributor docs, agent-iteration docs,
role-level Administration/README/TODO files, the bundles README, the
test-environment scripts, the in-repo deploy helpers and main.sh, and
the server stage task. The two wildcard prose references (`make
deploy-*` in CLAUDE.md and testing/playwright.md) become single
`make compose-deploy` mentions since no other deploy-* target exists.

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 4.7 c02229b4be refactor(make): align targets to domain prefixes (compose-, network-, etc.)
Apply a consistent naming convention to the Make target inventory so
every target is grouped by its domain:

- compose-*  (compose-up/down/restart/stop/exec/inner-run)
- network-*  (network-dns-setup/remove, network-ipv6-disable/restore,
              network-refresh, network-trust-ca)
- security-* (security-apparmor-restore/teardown)
- diagnose-* (diagnose-network, diagnose-disk-usage)
- fix-*      (fix-chmod, fix-dockerignore)
- clean-*    (clean-cache, clean-pycache-dirs)
- install-*  (install-agent)
- meta-*     (meta-list, meta-tree, meta-mig)

Drop the stale debug-network target and reintroduce its functionality
as diagnose-network. Cascade renames through:

- Makefile (.PHONY entries, prereqs, recursive $(MAKE) calls)
- contributor docs, agent-iteration docs, role-level docs
- bundle README, environment scripts, install/lint/test wrappers
- AGENTS.md, CLAUDE.md, compose/cache.override.yml, .github/workflows

Historical entries under docs/requirements/ and changelog/ stay
untouched as audit logs.

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 4.7 356e3366be feat(make): consolidate local deploy into single make deploy router
Replace the seven separate deploy-* make targets with a single `make
deploy` recipe that maps short Make variables to the canonical
INFINITO_* environment variables and dispatches via the new
scripts/tests/deploy/local/deploy/main.sh router. main.sh and all
sub-scripts continue to read the long-form names, so Ansible passthrough
and container forwarding stay unchanged.

Short Make CLI now exposes apps, mode, purge, type, bundles, disabled,
and full_cycle as aliases. The router picks the verb folder
(initialize, reinstall, update) and scope (all, selection) based on the
chosen mode plus the presence of INFINITO_APPS or INFINITO_BUNDLES.

Also folds in the global INFINITO_TEST_DEPLOY_TYPE -> INFINITO_DEPLOY_TYPE
rename across default.env, passthrough handler, dotenv test, CI deploy
workflows, discovery scripts, and the server stage task.

Active contributor and agent-iteration docs, role-level Administration
and README files, the bundles README, and the deploy reset helper are
all retargeted to the new short CLI. docs/requirements/ entries stay
untouched as historical audit logs.

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 4.7 0f276c856d refactor(scripts): restructure local deploy scripts into apps/ verb subtree
Split the local deploy scripts into a verb-based hierarchy under
scripts/tests/deploy/local/deploy/apps/{initialize,reinstall,update}/
plus scripts/tests/deploy/local/deploy/bundles/, with each verb folder
exposing all.sh (full discovery) and selection.sh (one or more apps via
INFINITO_APPS). The Makefile targets retain their existing names and now
dispatch to the new paths. The reinstall and bundles flows take over the
down + up cycle that used to be a Make prerequisite, and bundles/fresh.sh
now correctly delegates to apps/reinstall/selection.sh (the previous
delegate path was broken after the move). Each new directory carries a
README.md documenting scope, entry points, and when to use which verb.

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 4.7 e909d05b4a fix(env): collapse NIX_CONFIG to access-tokens line in the handler
\`utils/env/writer.py\` rejects multi-line values because bash \`source\`
and docker-compose \`--env-file\` cannot round-trip them
(introduced by a3782bf8d). \`scripts/tests/code/run.sh\` simultaneously
appended \`accept-flake-config = true\` to NIX_CONFIG before invoking
\`make setup\`, producing exactly the multi-line shape the writer
refuses. The test-environment workflow tripped this on every run
where \`06_test.sh\` → \`make test\` → \`scripts/tests/code/run.sh\`
fired (see actions/runs/26227822536/job/77180908867).

Fix the producer side, not the writer's layering:

* utils/env/handlers/nix_config.py: pull only the \`access-tokens\`
  line out of NIX_CONFIG and write that single line. Other Nix
  settings (\`accept-flake-config\`, \`experimental-features\`, …)
  already live in /etc/nix/nix.conf via the Dockerfile inside the
  dev container; host operators set them once in
  ~/.config/nix/nix.conf.

* scripts/tests/code/run.sh: drop the NIX_CONFIG mutation block.
  It was a no-op for in-container test runs (the container's
  /etc/nix/nix.conf already has accept-flake-config) and an active
  bug for the env-pipeline (multi-line value crashed make dotenv).

The writer keeps its multi-line guard unchanged — the contract is
that .env carries single-line values, and producers must respect it.

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 4.7 9a0620f7bb fix(inventory): drop provision-CLI args that shadowed group_vars defaults
Root cause of the DinD DNS-check failure on test-deploy-server
(networks.internet.ip4 falling through to 127.0.0.1 despite
INFINITO_IP4=172.30.0.10 reaching every link of the env pipeline):

  cli/administration/inventory/provision/cli.py declared --ip4 with a
  hardcoded default of "127.0.0.1" and ensure_host_vars_file wrote that
  value unconditionally into host_vars/<host>.yml. group_vars'
  defaults_networks.internet.ip4 resolves "172.30.0.10" via
  \`lookup('env', 'INFINITO_IP4')\`, but tasks/stages/01_constructor.yml
  merges \`defaults_networks | combine(networks | default({}, true))\` so
  host_vars wins. INFINITO_IP4 looked broken end-to-end; the breakage
  actually lived in the provision-CLI host_vars overlay.

  INFINITO_DNS_IP and INFINITO_DOMAIN propagated correctly because
  the provision CLI had no --dns and the --primary-domain write was
  None-gated and never invoked.

While here, --ssl-disabled and --primary-domain are removed too:
neither had any effect in the dev flow. provision/cli.py applies
\`--vars-file inventories/development/default.yml\` AFTER
ensure_host_vars_file via apply_vars_overrides_from_file, whose
_deep_update_commented_map unconditionally overwrites
(\`target[key] = value\`). The dev vars-file always set
\`TLS_ENABLED: true\`, so \`--ssl-disabled\` (which forced
\`TLS_ENABLED: false\` in host_vars) was systematically reverted to
true. Dev/CI ran with TLS enabled the whole time. Inventory stays at
\`TLS_ENABLED: true\` to preserve that effective behaviour.

Removed from cli/administration/inventory/provision/cli.py:
- --ip4, --ip6: defaulted to 127.0.0.1 / ::1, shadowed group_vars
- --primary-domain: never set by any caller, None-gated write
- --ssl-disabled: always re-overwritten by --vars-file later in the
  same provision pass

Removed from cli/administration/inventory/provision/host_vars.py the
matching writes in ensure_host_vars_file; the function now only sets
\`ansible_connection: local\` for localhost-class hosts. Defaults for
DOMAIN_PRIMARY / TLS_ENABLED / networks.internet.{ip4,ip6} live in
group_vars (env-driven) and the inventory vars-file (deployment-wide
flags); host_vars stops duplicating them.

Callers cleaned up:
- cli/administration/deploy/development/inventory/builder.py
- cli/administration/deploy/container/command.py
- scripts/tests/deploy/local/utils/fresh-kept-all-init-and-deploy.sh
- scripts/tests/deploy/local/reset/inventory.sh

Tests + docs follow:
- tests/unit/cli/administration/inventory/provision/test_host_vars.py
  now asserts host_vars no longer carries baked DOMAIN_PRIMARY /
  TLS_ENABLED / networks defaults
- docs/administration/deploy.md drops --ssl-disabled from the
  provision example
- docs/contributing/design/inventory.md re-scopes the host_vars
  column: the DOMAIN_PRIMARY / TLS_ENABLED / networks.internet.{ip4,ip6}
  values arrive via --vars / --vars-file overlays, otherwise group_vars
  provides the env-driven default

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 4.7 13c93ad6d5 refactor(compose): drop the ci profile and its --profile ci arg everywhere
compose.yml no longer hides services behind \`profiles: ["ci"]\`. The
profile existed solely as a no-op safety net against a bare
\`docker compose up\` in the repo root, but the top-level compose.yml is
already explicitly scoped to local dev / CI testing (production goes
through the Ansible roles under roles/<role>/templates/), so the safety
net is redundant with the documented scope.

Every \`--profile ci\` callsite collapses:
- compose.yml: \`profiles: ["ci"]\` removed from coredns + infinito
- Profile.args() deleted; Profile keeps is_ci() and
  registry_cache_active() for the cache-override gating
- compose.py / down.py: profile.args() splat removed from the
  docker-compose command builder; down.py drops its now-unused
  Profile import
- 5 shell wrappers (install, lint, tests/code, meta/resolve/apps,
  meta/resolve/diff/affected_roles): plain \`docker compose\` instead
  of \`docker compose --profile ci\`
- tests/unit/.../test_profile.py: TestProfileArgs class removed
- tests/unit/.../test_compose.py: two cmd-shape asserts updated to
  reflect the missing --profile pair

Docs:
- docs/contributing/artefact/files/compose.yml.md: the
  \"every service MUST be behind a profiles: entry\" rule is gone
- docs/contributing/actions/debugging/ci.md: the
  \`docker compose ... --profile ci config\` debug snippet drops the
  flag; while touching the file the two em-dash clause separators in
  the reproduction-profiles shell block are rewritten to colons
  (documentation.md em-dash rule), and one list-item in
  compose.yml.md is collapsed to one sentence per line for
  consistency with its siblings

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 4.7 12a56e449d refactor(env): move env/default.env to repo-root default.env and drop env/
With env.development and env/ci.env both gone, env/default.env was the
last inhabitant of the directory. Hoisting it to the repo root removes
the empty-shell indirection: the SPOT is now [default.env](default.env),
sitting next to .env (its generated companion) and other repo-root
configuration artefacts like compose.yml, Dockerfile, and Makefile.

Path updates land in:
- generator: cli/meta/env/__main__.py (REPO_ROOT / "default.env")
- workflow: .github/workflows/test-install-make.yml (awk reads from
  default.env, error message updated in lockstep)
- lint tests: test_used_keys_declared.py and test_infinito_prefix.py
  switched from globbing env/*.env to targeting default.env directly;
  test_default_env_keys_handled.py points at the new path
- drift test: test_inventory_vars_file_spot.py whitelist + STATIC_ENV
- smoke test: tests/integration/meta/env/test_dotenv_generator.py
  STATIC_ENV + every docstring/error message

Doc-string and prose references in utils/env/*, scripts/*,
cli/administration/deploy/development/{common,coredns}.py,
Makefile, Dockerfile, and every doc page that mentioned env/default.env
are rewritten in the same pass so future readers see one path.

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 4.7 07a9440ac7 refactor(env): fold ci.env into default.env so INFINITO_IP4/DNS/DOMAIN reach Ansible
The four ci.env keys (INFINITO_DNS_IP, INFINITO_DOMAIN, INFINITO_DOMAIN_RE,
INFINITO_IP4) were only honored by docker compose --env-file, so processes
that sourced .env via load.sh saw INFINITO_IP4 as unset. As a result
networks.internet.ip4 in the Ansible playbook fell through to the
127.0.0.1 default and the DinD DNS-check handler failed on the deploy
server matrix.

Moving the defaults into env/default.env makes them flow through the same
.env / load.sh / os.environ chain as every other INFINITO_* key, so
\${INFINITO_IP4} in compose.yml, lookup('env', 'INFINITO_IP4') in
group_vars, and envsubst over the CoreDNS Corefile template all see the
same value deterministically.

Side fix: utils/env/parser.py now undoes the writer's \\\\/\\" escaping for
quoted values, closing a round-trip gap that surfaced once
INFINITO_DOMAIN_RE (the only value containing a literal backslash) started
flowing through the generator.

All --env-file env/ci.env call sites (compose.py, down.py, install/lint/
test wrappers, resolve scripts, test-dns workflow + script) are removed.
coredns.py now reads .env via parse_static_env, docs and unit/integration
tests follow.

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 4.7 3fe215aaa6 fix(test-runner): source load.sh + prefer project venv over ambient VIRTUAL_ENV
`make test-unit` (docker runner) reached run.sh inside the container via
`bash --login`, which never sources the project's env-loader. PYTHON stayed
unset, so the test invocation fell back to the system python3 — which has
none of the runtime deps (ruamel, ansible, bcrypt, requests, certifi,
humanfriendly), producing 132+ ModuleNotFoundError errors.

run.sh now sources scripts/meta/env/load.sh itself (idempotent via
INFINITO_ENV_LOADED), so the env layer applies regardless of how the shell
was spawned.

While load.sh's detect.sh (now scripts/meta/env/python.sh) correctly walks
/opt/venvs and ~/.venvs to find the venv, an ambient VIRTUAL_ENV from a
different project (e.g. /root/.venvs/pkgmgr in pkgmgr's container) would
hijack the resolution. python.sh now scans the project-named venv candidates
first and only falls back to VIRTUAL_ENV when no project venv exists.

Also moves scripts/meta/python/detect.sh to scripts/meta/env/python.sh so the
env-related helpers live under one directory; updates the load.sh source
pragma and the lint-test path that scans it for INFINITO_* registrations.

`make test-unit` goes from 1262 tests / 132 errors to 1999 tests / 0 errors.

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 4.7 a3782bf8d3 fix(env): break NIX_CONFIG bootstrap-loop
Two independent bugs were compounding into a corrupted NIX_CONFIG that
broke every local image rebuild:

1. scripts/tests/code/run.sh non-idempotently appended
   "accept-flake-config = true" to whatever NIX_CONFIG it inherited.
   On the next source of .env (which carried the previous value back),
   the line accumulated -- "true\naccept-flake-config = true\n..." --
   until Nix rejected the Boolean. Fix: pipe through `awk '\!seen[$0]++'`
   to dedup lines while preserving order.

2. utils/env/writer.py silently re-encoded literal newlines as `\n`
   escape sequences inside double-quoted values. docker-compose's
   --env-file loader does not decode them and neither does bash
   `source`, so any multi-line value round-tripped into garbage on the
   next read. Fix: raise ValueError instead -- producers must collapse
   to a single line before handing off to the env-builder.

Test fixtures for the writer adjusted to assert the new raise
semantics.

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 4.7 a77a570409 refactor(env): consolidate INFINITO_* namespace and centralize path/image SPOTs
Closes a stack of env-pipeline regressions left over from the recent
INFINITO_* namespace refactor by:

* DOMAIN_PRIMARY now reads INFINITO_DOMAIN strictly (was: legacy DOMAIN
  env var → defaulted to infinito.localhost, which never resolved
  because CoreDNS serves the INFINITO_DOMAIN value, infinito.example).
* group_vars/all/08_networks.yml IPs (ip4/ip6/dns) now read
  INFINITO_IP4 / INFINITO_IP6 / INFINITO_DNS_IP.
* PLAYWRIGHT_KEEP_ALL renamed to INFINITO_PLAYWRIGHT_KEEP end-to-end
  (env-builder, role default, run_one.yml docker exec, playwright.config.js,
  lint allowlist, docs anchor, CI workflow vars).
* PKGMGR_IMAGE renamed to INFINITO_PARENT_IMAGE; Dockerfile ARG drops
  the inline default so env/default.env is the only SPOT.
* INFINITO_SRC_DIR centralized: Dockerfile ARG (no default) + ENV;
  compose forwards it as build-arg, volume mount path, and container env;
  every Python CLI + shell helper + CI workflow now reads it strictly
  (os.environ[...] / "${INFINITO_SRC_DIR:?...}") instead of the literal
  /opt/src/infinito.
* New entries in env/default.env: INFINITO_IP6=::1, INFINITO_PARENT_IMAGE,
  INFINITO_PLAYWRIGHT_KEEP=false. All three propagated through
  utils/env/handlers/passthrough.STATIC_KEYS and (where consumed in the
  container) through compose.yml's environment block.

Validated end-to-end with `make test` (2360 tests across lint, lint-*,
test-lint, test-external, test-unit, test-integration).

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 4.7 9d94f18129 fix(tests/environment): tolerate missing python3 in load_repo_env
00_orchestrator.sh sources common.sh in a vanilla container before
01_install.sh has run; the eager load_repo_env then sources load.sh ->
detect.sh which hard-fails per the new SPOT contract. Skip the load
silently when python3 is absent — the post-install loop iteration
re-runs load_repo_env and picks up the freshly installed interpreter.

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 4.7 80c396b839 refactor(env+install/spot): collapse python/venv resolution into shell SPOT
Pulls VENV/PYTHON/PIP/PYTHONPATH out of the dotenv handler pipeline
into scripts/meta/python/detect.sh. load.sh now sources detect.sh and
prepends ${VENV}/bin to PATH above the INFINITO_ENV_LOADED guard, so
every BASH_ENV re-entry re-resolves PYTHON the moment a venv
materialises mid-chain — the same fix as b79ed2869 but at the SPOT,
which retires the reload-trick from ansible.sh, python.sh and
pre-commit.sh.

Also renames INVENTORY_VARS_FILE → INFINITO_INVENTORY_VARS_FILE under
the new env-prefix lint, drops the 5 dead INFINITO_ENV_*_LOADED unsets
left over from the multi-loader era, and adds a lint guarding the
INFINITO_ prefix invariant on env/*.env keys.

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 4.7 eb4bcd23a8 refactor(env/spot): forbid .get() defaults + cache namespace rename
Three new lint tests close gaps in the INFINITO_* SPOT contract:
* tests/lint/filesystem/env/test_default_env_keys_handled.py
  Every default.env key must be wired through a handler.
* tests/lint/filesystem/env/test_used_keys_declared.py
  Every INFINITO_* in .sh/.py must live in env/{default,ci}.env or
  a handler; per-line `# nocheck:` suppresses runtime-only refs.
* tests/lint/filesystem/python/test_no_infinito_get_defaults.py
  Forbid ANY default in `.get("INFINITO_*", ...)` -- including the
  empty-string fallback (which silently masks an unset key). The
  nocheck check walks every physical line the call spans so an
  autoformat-split call still honours the marker.

Cache namespace flattens to a single prefix:
  INFINITO_PACKAGE_CACHE_*  -> INFINITO_CACHE_PACKAGE_*
  INFINITO_REGISTRY_CACHE_* -> INFINITO_CACHE_REGISTRY_*
The five previously driver-injected paths (APT_LIST, NPMRC,
PIP_CONF, REGISTRY_PROXY_CONF, FRONTEND_CA_FILE) move into
env/default.env and passthrough.STATIC_KEYS; the
`cache_env_overrides()` helper and its two call sites are gone
along with the test-fixture override for FRONTEND_CA_DIR.

SPOT-strict rewrites:
  - 19 sites: `something.get("INFINITO_X", "")` -> subscript
    `something["INFINITO_X"]` (loud KeyError when env loader did
    not run; all keys live in env/default.env).
  - 2 handler-internal bootstrap reads suppressed with
    `# nocheck: handler-bootstrap-read`.
  - 30 runtime-only / driver-injected / test-fixture references
    annotated with `# nocheck: <reason>` per-line.
  - Unit tests that previously removed SPOT-guaranteed keys via
    `{k: v ... if k \!= KEY}` or `clear=True` switch to setting
    the key to "" explicitly, matching the new contract.

Side fixes:
  - INFINITO_DNS_DOMAIN + INFINITO_DNS_HOSTS_FILE move from
    shell-side defaults in common.sh to env/default.env and
    passthrough.STATIC_KEYS.
  - dns_systemd_is_operational() drops the dead
    INFINITO_DNS_FORCE_HOSTS_FALLBACK override branch (the
    variable was never set anywhere).
  - INFINITO_WORKER_FETCH switches from `os.environ.get(KEY, "1")`
    to `os.environ[KEY]`.
  - scripts/tests/code/wrapper.sh exec args move into a bash
    array so `# nocheck:` on INFINITO_TEST_TYPE can live on its
    own element line (SC2215 fix).

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 4.7 22cf6f38f1 refactor(env+make): rename static.env→default.env + sort + lint gates
Rename env/static.env → env/default.env across the entire repo
(string label, doc links, Python file-path constants) — the
`parse_static_env*` function names stay as a stable API surface.

Sort all `*.env` / `*.env.j2` entries alphabetically (52 in
default.env, 4 in ci.env, 46 of 49 j2 templates; 3 templates
with Jinja2 `{% %}` control flow are skipped because conditional
blocks would tear apart under a naive sort). Sort all 83
Makefile target blocks alphabetically; .PHONY group headers
stay in place.

Collapse the two remaining multi-line Makefile recipe comments
(dotenv-force, test-signed) to single-line WHY comments.

Add four lint tests under tests/lint/filesystem/ to keep the
invariants enforced going forward:
- env/test_alphabetical_sort.py
- env/test_single_line_comments.py        (# nocheck: markers exempt)
- makefile/test_alphabetical_targets.py
- makefile/test_single_line_comments.py   (# nocheck: markers exempt)

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 4.7 19f9735909 feat(test/external): bound runtime + share parallel update pipeline
The URL-reachability probe now bounds its wall-clock end-to-end:
allow_redirects=False (a redirect chain previously stacked
timeouts), a 5h30m global deadline that marks in-flight probes
as warnings on expiry, and live `[done/total]` progress every 50
probes. Submission order is shuffled so same-host URLs no longer
batch at the front and self-DoS one origin.

The Docker image-version test drops its bespoke sequential
fetch loop and calls find_outdated_updates() from utils.update.docker,
so it now shares the INFINITO_WORKER_FETCH-sized worker pool with
the repository-refs check.

`scripts/tests/code/wrapper.sh` propagates BASH_ENV into the
container exec — without it INFINITO_WORKER_FETCH was unset
inside the container and the URL probe collapsed to 1 worker.
`make test` gains test-external; `make dotenv-force` regenerates
.env with a stripped environment so stale BASH_ENV-preloaded
INFINITO_* values cannot pin old numbers via setdefault.

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 4.7 9a578952c3 feat(env): SPOT env-pipeline + INFINITO_* namespace
Replace 8 bash env modules with a single Python generator
(cli.meta.env) that materialises env/static.env + runtime context
into a gitignored .env. Each variable lives in its own handler
under utils/env/handlers/; defaults carry inline one-line `# ...`
comments.

Rename to the INFINITO_* schema:
- workflow inputs: APPS, SERVICES_DISABLED, CMD, DEBUG, WHITELIST,
  BUNDLES, FULL_CYCLE, VARIANT, RUN_FLAGS, LIMIT_HOST, PARALLEL
- inventory: INVENTORY_DIR / INVENTORY_FILE / HOST_VARS_FILE,
  PW_FILE -> INVENTORY_PASSWORD_FILE
- venv: VENV_BASE / VENV_FALLBACK / VENV_NAME
- new SPOT defaults: COMPILE_SILENCE, CONTAINER_NO_CA,
  WAIT_HEALTH_TIMEOUT_S, PACKAGE_CACHE_FRONTEND_INIT_IMAGE,
  promoted IMAGE_TAG from GHA-only to general passthrough

compose.yml hardening:
- inline \${VAR:-default} removed; strict \${VAR:?...} everywhere
- new integration lint blocks regressions

Tooling:
- scripts/install/all.sh owns the stamp-file install logic
  (Makefile target delegates)
- scripts/meta/env/load.sh is the single shell entry point;
  8 bash modules deleted
- new shell lint: no INFINITO_* defaults outside env/static.env

Tests:
- 93 new unit tests for utils/env/{builder,parser,runtime,writer}
- restructure tests/lint into repository/ (file-content rules) vs
  filesystem/{shell,python,env}/ (filesystem-shape rules)
- drift + smoke integration tests against the generator

Docs:
- variables.md is now a pointer; per-variable docs live next to
  the key in env/static.env / env/ci.env
- compose.yml.md drops the Default column

kevinveenbirkenbach 3085ca7247 Revert "refactor(sys-svc-webserver-core): default_server returns 421 instead of ssl_reject_handshake"
This reverts commit f42a488510.

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 4.7 f42a488510 refactor(sys-svc-webserver-core): default_server returns 421 instead of ssl_reject_handshake
Refines the explicit HTTPS default_server introduced in e9df1ae7b:
instead of aborting the TLS handshake (curl→000), complete TLS with
the primary-domain cert and return 421 Misdirected Request (RFC 9110
§15.5.20). When the cert SAN still covers the requested host but no
vhost is configured for it — the exact failure mode that
sys-svc-cln-domains produces between matrix-deploy variants — clients
now see a precise, RFC-correct signal instead of an opaque TLS error.

For hostnames not in any cert SAN (production with per-domain LE
certs and unrelated probes), curl still rejects the cert and reports
000, so the response is naturally dual-mode:

  - SAN match + no vhost  → 421 (deploy-incomplete signal)
  - no SAN match → 000 (truly unknown host)

Updates scripts/tests/environment/08_deploy_performance.sh: the
matomo-only fresh-purged deploy keeps dashboard.infinito.example in
the shared CI cert's SAN list, so the assertion changes from
`assert_http_status 000` to `assert_http_status 421`. The matomo
assertion in 07_deploy_minimal.sh stays at 000 because matomo is
excluded from the cert SAN in that deploy's CA regen.

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 4.7 f636cfe399 refactor(nginx): central docker-DNS resolver + variable proxy_pass in per-app gateways
Per-app nginx gateways used proxy_pass with a literal docker container
hostname. nginx OSS resolves that hostname once at startup; if the
upstream container later restarts and gets a new IP (e.g. a partial
compose-up after credential change), the gateway proxies onto a dead
address until nginx itself reloads — the 502 we hit on taiga after a
reuse-kept replaced the taiga-back container.

Switch every per-app docker-hostname proxy_pass to a variable form so
the embedded docker DNS re-resolves at request time:

  set $upstream_<rolename>_<purpose> http://<host>:<port>;
  proxy_pass $upstream_<rolename>_<purpose>;

The full `resolver` directive (TTL + ipv6 toggle inherited from
NETWORK_IPV6_ENABLED) lives in one SPOT — NETWORK_DOCKER_DNS_NGINX_DIRECTIVE
in group_vars/all/08_networks.yml — so cache TTL and ipv6 stay
consistent across the stack.

In taiga the upstream `set` declarations hoist to server scope because
taiga-back is reused across /api/, /oidc/ and /admin/; in nextcloud
and kix each upstream is used exactly once so the declaration stays
local. Locations whose original proxy_pass stripped the location
prefix (`proxy_pass http://.../;` on /media/, /whiteboard/,
/standalone-signaling/) keep that semantics via an explicit
`rewrite ^<loc>(.*)$ /\$1 break;`, because variable-proxy_pass drops
the implicit prefix-strip.

kix's static files/kix-proxy.default.conf moves to
templates/kix-proxy.default.conf.j2 so it can reference the new
constant; the deploy task switches from copy to template accordingly.

Drive-by: scripts/tests/e2e/rerun-spec.sh docstring refresh — the
"only overwrites tests/playwright.spec.js" claim went stale when the
rerunner started restaging every role-local playwright/*.js.

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 4.7 5b8cb71884 feat(scripts+make): add make run wrapper for nested docker run inside the host container
Inner-loop iteration on a deployed stack often needs a one-off sidecar
container against the same docker daemon the stack lives on — typical
cases are rerunning a Playwright project with a patched .env, retrying
an arbitrary CLI image against an app container, or smoke-checking a
release image without going through Ansible. Without a wrapper the
caller has to spell out `docker exec <host-container> docker run --rm
<flags...> <image> <cmd>` by hand, which is verbose enough that agents
tend to fall back to redeploying instead of validating in-place.

Add `make run IMAGE=<ref> [CMD=...] [RUN_FLAGS=...]` plus the underlying
`scripts/tests/deploy/local/exec/run.sh`. The script reuses
`scripts/meta/env/all.sh` to resolve the host container name (same SPOT
as `make exec`), forwards RUN_FLAGS verbatim, and only wraps CMD in
`sh -lc` so default-entrypoint images and shell one-liners both work.

Wire both iteration loops to mention the wrapper next to `make exec`:
the Role Loop's Inspect block gets a bullet pointing at it, and the
Playwright Spec Loop gains a short "Debugging in the nested docker
daemon" section that also reminds the agent to mirror any successful
hand-patch back into the role's playwright.env.j2.

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 4.7 16bdbf03d7 docs: fix repo-wide drift against documentation.md style rules
Three classes of drift cleaned up across 85 .md files:

- Em-dashes: replaced ` — ` with the contextually correct separator
  (colon for `term: explanation`, period to split clauses across
  sentences/source lines, parentheses for asides, semicolon for
  tight-linked continuations). Two intentional exceptions remain
  in `docs/contributing/documentation.md` (the rule literal) and
  inside a fenced ```sh block in `docs/contributing/actions/debugging/ci.md`.
- SPOT self-labels: rewrote "This is the SPOT for X" to describe
  the subject directly ("This directory holds X" / "This file
  describes X"). Cross-references to other artefacts' canonical
  role remain unchanged.
- Heading-emoji position: moved leading-emoji headings (`# 🧩 Title`)
  to trailing position (`# Title 🧩`) per the headline rule that
  emojis MUST come after the title text.

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 4.7 5fd55072c7 fix(scripts/tests/deploy/local/utils/cache-retry): switch stale-apt recovery to Nexus invalidate-cache
Replace the no-op `docker restart` recovery with `POST
/service/rest/v1/repositories/{name}/invalidate-cache` against each
apt-format proxy repo (Debian, Ubuntu, …) discovered dynamically
from Nexus' REST API. Container restart never re-validated cached
content; the new path makes Nexus actually re-fetch from upstream
on the next request and keeps repo definitions, blobstore, and
admin credentials intact.

Co-located changes:
- fresh-purged-app.sh: source scripts/meta/env/all.sh so the cache
  override env (incl. INFINITO_PACKAGE_CACHE_FRONTEND_IP) is set
  for the deploy CLI — without this, apt traffic bypasses Nexus.
- utils/nexus/list_apt_proxy_repos.py: stdin JSON → stdout name list,
  exit 1 on malformed input / no matches; used by the bash helper
  for discovery (parser lives outside the heredoc for testability).
- tests/unit/utils/nexus/test_list_apt_proxy_repos.py: 10 cases
  covering filter rules, empty/invalid input, non-dict entries,
  missing/empty names, and a realistic live payload.

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 4.7 eed1d89bb4 fix(test-env): re-pin matomo reuse-pass to VARIANT=1 to match leftover host state
Step 08 (`deploy-fresh-purged-apps … FULL_CYCLE=true`) iterates matomo's
two variants and skips the final inter-round purge, so the host ends on
variant 1 (mariadb.shared=false → embedded `database` service). The
previous pin to VARIANT=0 forced a variant flip (shared=true) on a host
still wired for variant 1, which left the freshly-rendered matomo
compose.yml referencing `database` without an image and tripped the
`compose config --quiet` validation handler with:

  service "database" has neither an image nor a build context specified:
  invalid compose project

Pinning the reuse pass to VARIANT=1 redeploys onto the same variant the
matrix last left running, which is the intended `reuse of existing
state` semantic from variants.md ("the last state remains available for
inspection or follow-up specs").

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 4.7 51a2a9113c feat(deploy/local): auto-clear caches + retry on stale apt Release file
When the registry-cache or package-cache (Nexus / nginx frontend)
serves apt repository metadata whose `Valid-Until` window has elapsed,
Docker builds inside an Ansible-driven deploy abort with
  E: Release file for http://deb.debian.org/debian/dists/.../InRelease
     is expired (invalid since 5h 30min 54s).
which surfaces as a generic non-zero exit from the wrapped deploy
command and forces the operator to manually wipe the caches before the
next attempt.

Add `scripts/tests/deploy/local/utils/cache-retry.sh` exposing
`deploy_with_cache_retry <label> -- <cmd> [args...]`. The helper runs
the wrapped command with combined stdout+stderr teed to a temp log,
captures the wrapped command's real exit code via PIPESTATUS (with a
disciplined `set +e` / restore-previous-state dance so the caller's
`set -e` does not abort the script before the helper can react), and
on non-zero exit grep's the captured log for the stale-cache
signature `Release file ... is expired` / `Valid-Until ... expired`.

If matched, the helper wipes both cache stacks via `make cache-clean`
(registry-cache + package-cache through
scripts/system/cache/clean.sh), runs `docker builder prune -af` and
`docker image prune -af` to drop cached build layers and unused base
images, and re-runs the wrapped command exactly once. Non-stale-cache
failures bubble up unchanged so the caller's existing error handling
is preserved. Live in the deploy/update script layer rather than the
Ansible handler because only the host-side scripts can reach the
registry-cache + package-cache containers and the host Docker engine.

Wire the helper into all five local deploy entrypoints:
- fresh-purged-app.sh (both `--full-cycle` and the sync-only branch)
- fresh-kept-app.sh
- fresh-kept-all.sh
- reuse-kept-app.sh (added SCRIPT_DIR/REPO_ROOT locally because the
  script did not yet have them)
- reuse-kept-all.sh

CI deploy paths (scripts/tests/deploy/ci/*) are intentionally left
alone — CI runs do not share the developer's local cache stack and
they handle stale metadata differently.

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 4.7 ffea45b163 fix(test-env): pin matomo reuse-pass to VARIANT=0 + suggest sibling inventories on miss
09_deploy_reuse.sh ran `make deploy-reuse-kept-apps APPS=web-app-matomo`
without VARIANT, which makes reuse-kept-app.sh fall back to the
unsuffixed `${INVENTORY_DIR}` path. The matrix-init in step 08 only
writes `${INVENTORY_DIR}-0` / `-1` because matomo declares 2 variants
(see roles/web-app-matomo/meta/variants.yml; planner contract:
cli/administration/deploy/development/inventory/planner.py:107), so
the reuse pass always missed the inventory and aborted with exit 2.

Also surface sibling inventory dirs as suggestions when the lookup
misses, so the next caller hitting this gets a hint instead of a bare
ENOENT.

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 4.7 8090cf4545 fix(test-env): inspect matrix-variant inventories via POSIX glob
Matrix-variant deploys write `${INVENTORY_DIR}-N/devices.yml` only —
the unsuffixed path doesn't exist, so the old `cat ${INVENTORY_FILE}`
killed every distro job in test-environment CI. Walk the suffixed

POSIX: no `shopt nullglob`, no arrays, no `(( ))`.

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 4.7 c55ad69c41 refactor: drop requirement-file references from code, add doc rule + lint
Strip every `req <NNN>`, `req-<NNN>`, `Requirement <NNN>`,
`requirement-<NNN>`, and `docs/requirements/<NNN>-...md` mention from
non-Markdown source files. Comments anchored to requirement numbers
rot when requirements are renumbered or rewritten and conflate
present-state behaviour (which the comment should describe) with the
audit trail of how the code got there (which belongs in commit
messages, PR descriptions, and the requirement file itself).

* Document the rule in `docs/contributing/documentation.md` under
  "Comments". Code MUST describe the *why* in present-state language;
  contract enforcement lives in tests, not folklore.
* Clean 254 source files across `roles/`, `tests/`, `plugins/`,
  `cli/`, `scripts/`, `utils/`, `group_vars/`, and the repo-root
  `eslint.config.js`. Pure comment / docstring / log-message edits;
  no behavioural change.
* Add `tests/lint/repository/test_no_req_references_in_code.py` to
  enforce the rule going forward across `.js`, `.py`, `.yml`,
  `.yaml`, `.j2`, and `.sh` files. The legacy
  `test_no_stale_requirement_refs.py` is exempt as the only file
  whose purpose is to detect these very tokens.

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 4.7 d3e5ebe441 feat(test-e2e-playwright): add shared persona-flow library + first batch
Introduces roles/test-e2e-playwright/files/personas/ — runGuestFlow,
runBiberFlow, runAdminFlow plus 10 utils (csp, dashboard, env, keycloak,
landing, logout, matomo, prometheus, interaction, index) — and wires
both the Ansible runner (run_one.yml) and the local rerun helper
(scripts/tests/e2e/rerun-spec.sh) to stage the tree alongside
service-gating.js so specs can `require("./personas")`.

First batch of role specs migrated to consume the shared library
(dashboard, keycloak, mailu, matomo, prometheus, web-svc-cdn,
web-svc-simpleicons) — each gets the spec.js persona scenarios plus
the matching meta/services.yml + playwright.env.j2 entries; matomo is
marked role-closed in req 019. dashboard/keycloak/mailu TODO.md
updated; docs/requirements/019 reflects matomo closure.

Reason: req 019 Rule 3 mandates that every role's guest/biber/
administrator flow runs the same canonical steps; centralising them
in one shared library keeps per-role drift from re-introducing the
stub-shaped bodies the new lint forbids.

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 4.7 256e027525 docs: drop stale requirement refs + reflow soft-wraps to one sentence per line
Removes 67 live references to docs/requirements/<NNN>-*.md files across
43 contributor docs, role READMEs, code comments, task files, and tests.
Requirement docs are initial-creation-only artefacts; live references
freeze a snapshot that rots once the per-feature SPOT (a contributor
doc, a code module, a lint test) takes over the live behaviour.

In the same pass, fixes documentation.md violations on the touched
files: drops em-dashes used as thought breaks, removes "SPOT for ..."
self-labels, strips historical phrasing ("the legacy", "previously",
"used to", "is no longer used", "matching the historical"), and
reflows soft-wrapped sentences so each sentence stays on one logical
line.

The `test_inventory_vars_file_spot.py` whitelist for the literal
inventory path drops the docs/requirements/003 entry and instead
skips docs/requirements/ entirely; future requirement docs that
mention the literal path are then ignored automatically.

Verified by tests/lint/repository/test_no_stale_requirement_refs.py
(green tree-wide).

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 4.7 a26bfc4e94 refactor(cli): reorg admin/contributing tree + per-folder help system
Module moves (with imports, paths, argv literals, scripts, docs, and
parents[N] formulas updated in lockstep):

- cli/deploy             -> cli/administration/deploy
- cli/validate/inventory -> cli/administration/inventory/validate
- cli/vault              -> cli/administration/secrets/vault
- cli/administration/inventory/encrypt -> cli/administration/secrets/seal
- cli/mirror             -> cli/contributing/mirror

The new cli/administration/secrets cluster collocates the whole-file
ansible-vault wrapper next to the inventory-aware per-field sealer.
The user-facing CLI subcommand paths follow the package layout, e.g.
"infinito administration deploy dedicated <inv>" and
"infinito administration inventory validate <inv>".

Help system redesign in cli/core/{discovery,help,app}.py:

- Discovery now distinguishes runnable commands (directories with
  __main__.py) from category folders (directories that only group
  further commands). Empty support packages are filtered out.
- Each category folder MAY carry a README.md; its H1 heading is used
  as the title and its first paragraph as the one-line description in
  the help output.
- "infinito" / "infinito --help" prints only the top-level entries
  (one level deep). "infinito <category>" navigates into a folder and
  shows its sub-folders and commands one level deep, with the README
  title as the page heading and the invocation as a dim subtitle.
- New "--tree [N]" flag walks the tree under the (optional) path
  prefix recursively. N caps the depth (1-based); omit N for an
  unbounded walk. The output uses Unicode tree connectors, an emoji
  per entry (folder for categories, gear for commands), a globally
  aligned description column, and multi-line wrapped descriptions
  with tree-continuity bars on continuation lines.
- Category and command listings use the full invocation
  ("infinito meta callorder") rather than the bare leaf name, so the
  output is copy-pasteable.

Convention doc + 17 CLI READMEs:

- New docs/contributing/artefact/files/cli/readme_md.md describes the
  H1+paragraph layout the help system reads, and how it differs from
  role/docs READMEs.
- README.md added for cli/{administration, build, contributing, meta}
  and their immediate sub-folders, plus cli/meta/roles/applications
  and its resolution sub-folder. Each follows the "title with trailing
  emoji + single descriptive paragraph" convention.

Mirror resolver/sync description strings (the help system reads them
from argparse --help output) added so they no longer surface as
"options:" in the global index. cli/mirror/cleanup already had a
description and is unchanged.

Fixes uncovered by the move:

- import unittest.mock added to four dedicated-deploy tests so
  unittest.mock.patch resolves under stdlib unittest discovery
  (Python 3.13 no longer surfaces unittest.mock through "import
  unittest" alone).
- parents[N] index in the new
  cli/administration/inventory/validate/__init__.py corrected from
  3 to 4 to match the deeper layout.
- test_paths.INVENTORY_VALIDATOR_PATH assertion and test_runner
  substring assertions updated to match the new validator path.

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 4.7 a080dc4f98 refactor(cli): inventory tools under administration/, drop role scaffolder + dead SSO indirection
Move:
- cli/build/inventory/full      -> cli/administration/inventory/devices
- cli/create/inventory          -> cli/administration/inventory/provision
- cli/create/credentials        -> cli/administration/inventory/credentials
- cli/encrypt/inventory         -> cli/administration/inventory/encrypt

Delete:
- cli/create/role + templates/roles/ (stale scaffolder)
- roles/web-app-baserow/templates/javascript.js.j2 + dead sso_warning snippet
- js_application_name across akaunting/baserow/opencloud/opentalk/taiga,
  javascript service disabled for baserow + taiga

Wire-through:
- argv lists in cli/deploy/{container,development}/* + 2 shell scripts
  now invoke 'infinito administration inventory provision'
- subprocess module names + docs (contributing/* + administration/deploy.md)
- discovery resolver test + folder-item-limit whitelist updated
- ruff fixes in devices/command.py (RET504 inline + Path.open over open)

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 4.7 d3afe0bc81 test(lint): forbid a file from referencing its own path as a string
Hard-coded self-path references rot the moment the file moves: a header
comment ``# utils/foo/bar.py`` at the top of a module, a docstring
mentioning ``utils/foo/bar.py``, or a docs entry linking
``utils/foo/bar.py`` from inside ``utils/foo/bar.py`` itself all silently
desync from reality after the next ``git mv``.

The new lint walks every project file, computes its POSIX-style relative
path from PROJECT_ROOT, and reports any line whose text contains that
path as a substring. Files at the repo root (no ``/`` in their relative
path) and setuptools-generated ``*.egg-info/`` artefacts are exempt.
Per-line opt-out via ``# nocheck: self-path-reference`` on the offending
line, registered in the suppression catalog.

Existing offenders cleaned up:
- 72 redundant ``# <self-path>`` header lines removed across roles,
  cli, plugins, scripts, tests, and utils.
- 4 prometheus templates that told consumers to "update
  <self-template-path>" rewritten to drop the redundant self-reference.
- 8 docstring/comment self-references in cli, plugins, tests, utils,
  and the dashboard oidc.js.j2 header rewritten to describe the layout
  without naming the file's own path.
- 17 legitimate usage examples (shell scripts, test data lists, one
  template self-include doc-block) marked with ``nocheck:
  self-path-reference``.
- ``container.sh`` heredoc usage strings switched to ``${0}`` so the
  marker stays out of the user-visible help output.
- ``healthcheck/http.yml.j2`` doc-block rewritten to prose because
  ``{# ... #}`` Jinja comments cannot host an inner ``{# nocheck #}``
  (the inner ``#}`` closes the outer comment).

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 4.7 5325fe3cf0 refactor(purge): app-keyed orchestrator + wipe stale tokens between rounds
The token store at /var/lib/infinito/secrets/tokens.yml survived
compose+volumes purges, so matrix-deploy variant transitions left a
stale matomo token in place. On the next round the token-empty guard
in sys-front-inj-matomo never fired and the public-URL probe hit an
empty openresty upstream, returning 502.

- utils/cleanup/tokens.py: wipes users.<user>.tokens.<app_id> entries
  via utils.cache.yaml (load_yaml_any / dump_yaml).
- scripts/container/purge/apps.sh: app-keyed orchestrator that maps
  $APPS to compose entities, drives entity/{db,compose,dir}.sh, and
  invokes utils.cleanup.tokens for the same app set.
- scripts/tests/deploy/local/purge/entity.sh becomes a thin
  docker-exec wrapper invoking apps.sh inside the runner.
- Drop scripts/container/purge/entity/all.sh; its trivial loop and
  unused --wipe-data-only / --db-only flags fold into apps.sh.
- tests/unit/utils/cleanup/test_tokens.py covers wipe paths (single
  app, multi-user, multi-app, no-match no-rewrite, missing file,
  user-without-tokens, non-dict user) plus the __main__ shim.
- READMEs updated for the new layout.

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 4.7 16626a7670 fix(env-test): resolve Fedora release dynamically in cache probe
The package-cache active probe in
scripts/tests/environment/utils/cache.sh had `releases/40/...`
hardcoded as the upstream path for the `yum-fedora` Nexus proxy.
Fedora 40 went EOL in May 2025 and dl.fedoraproject.org stopped
serving its repodata, so the probe failed every Test Environment
(fedora:latest) CI job with:

    [probe] package-cache: GET /repository/yum-fedora/releases/40/Everything/x86_64/os/repodata/repomd.xml
    curl: (22) The requested URL returned error: 404
    [FAIL] package-cache: proxy 'yum-fedora' did not serve
        'releases/40/Everything/x86_64/os/repodata/repomd.xml'

Resolve the version dynamically from the runtime image's
`/etc/os-release` instead. The new `_resolve_fedora_release` helper
runs `docker run --rm --entrypoint /bin/cat <image> /etc/os-release`
and lifts `VERSION_ID` via awk, so `fedora:latest` is tracked
automatically and future EOL transitions no longer require a code
change.

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 4.7 e0ef4dcc98 fix(env-test): discover compose network for DiD probe instead of hardcoding it
probe_did_inner_build() in scripts/tests/environment/utils/cache.sh
hardcoded the compose network as `infinito-nexus_default`. Compose
derives the network name from the project name, which defaults to the
host CWD basename — `infinito-nexus` locally, `infinito-nexus-core` in
the CI fork, something else again in Act runners and worktrees. CI
therefore failed the test-environment matrix on every distro with
`network infinito-nexus_default not found` even though the cache
stack itself was healthy.

Look up the network the running `infinito-package-cache-frontend`
container is actually attached to via `docker inspect` and use that.
Fail loudly if discovery returns empty rather than silently skipping
the probe.

Verified via `make act-workflow ACT_WORKFLOW=.github/workflows/test-environment.yml ACT_JOB=test-environment ACT_MATRIX='dev_runtime_image:debian:bookworm'` — Job succeeded, probe step reports `[OK] DiD inner-build flowed through cache frontend`.
