kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 5 1941f0a689 docs(csp): draw how an application's policy is assembled and where it lies
One directive is fed from four places that each look authoritative on their
own: the role's own flags, the whitelist, the hashes the front injectors
register, and one branch that reads a service flag. Which of them ends up in
the header is only visible when the order is written down, and that order is
what the socialhome failure turned out to depend on.

The diagram is scoped to the header build and carries the three trip-wires on
the edges where they fire. The logout branch adds 'unsafe-inline' and thereby
closes the hash gate directly below it, so every registered hash is discarded,
including the one the logout injector computes for its own snippet. The flag
it reads derives from group_names, so the script policy follows the round
rather than the application. And the branch is absent from the smart-defaults
docstring, which names logout only for frame-ancestors.

Counted at this commit: 83 roles declare a logout service. 59 declare their
own script flag, 16 pin logout to false and have never had the grant, and 8
rely on it with nothing of their own. That last group is what a reader needs
the diagram for.

Node labels carry file and line so a policy that surprises someone can be
traced in one jump instead of a read through 460 lines.

Custom Filter Plugins for Infinito.Nexus

This directory contains custom Ansible filter plugins used within the Infinito.Nexus project.

When to Use a Filter Plugin

  • Transform values: Use filters to transform, extract, reformat, or compute values from existing variables or facts.
  • Inline data manipulation: Filters are designed for inline use in Jinja2 expressions (in templates, tasks, vars, etc.).
  • No external lookups: Filters only operate on data you explicitly pass to them and cannot access external files, the Ansible inventory, or runtime context.

Examples

{{ role_name | get_entity_name }}
{{ my_list | unique }}
{{ user_email | regex_replace('^(.+)@.*$', '\\1') }}

When not to Use a Filter Plugin

  • If you need to load data from an external source (e.g., file, environment, API), use a lookup plugin instead.
  • If your logic requires access to inventory, facts, or host-level information that is not passed as a parameter.

Schema 🗺️

How csp_filters.py assembles one application's Content-Security-Policy. Scope is the header build, not the other filters in this directory.

Styles carry 'unsafe-inline' by default; scripts do not. The logout grant is the only path that puts it into a script directive.
