The nested dockerd writes /mnt/docker as root, so shutil.rmtree from the runner user silently removed nothing and the previous distro's containers survived into the next distro run. They restarted under unless-stopped against a fresh container rootfs, failed with exit 127, and sys-ctl-rpr-container-soft exited 2 because their compose working_dir no longer existed, which failed the guide deploy on the second distro. Escalate the wipe the same way dedicated.sh does and hard-fail when the root survives, so a silent no-op can no longer leak state across distros.
