The marker names the reason a role has no upstream homepage or demo video, and
it sat in meta/main.yml because a comment-only info.yml parses to an empty
document, which the schema lint rejected outright. So the exemption lived one
file away from the two fields it explains, and a reader looking for the video
found neither the field nor the reason it was missing.
The schema lint now accepts an empty document exactly when it carries the
marker, and that is what allows the move. The media lint reads the marker from
info.yml rather than main.yml, and its failure message names that same file, so
the fix it suggests lands where the absent field would have gone.
A hundred and two roles follow. Every occurrence was a standalone comment on
the second line of main.yml, directly under the document start, so the move is
a line delete and an insert at the same offset. Seventy-three roles already had
an info.yml and gain the line; twenty-nine get one whose whole content is the
document start and the marker. All hundred and two reasons carry over verbatim,
including the thirty-five bespoke ones.
Nothing downstream sees a change. Of the four readers of meta/info.yml, three
coerce a null parse through `or {}` behind an isinstance guard, and
utils/cache/applications.py skips a falsy parse before assignment, so
applications.<role>.info stays absent for the twenty-nine exactly as it was
while the file did not exist.

PhpMyAdmin
Description
This Ansible role deploys PhpMyAdmin in a secure Docker environment, complete with optional OAuth2 proxy support. It enables seamless management of MariaDB/MySQL databases via a web-app-based interface.
Overview
The role configures and deploys a containerized PhpMyAdmin instance using Docker Compose. It optionally integrates with a central database and uses dynamic Ansible variables to support flexible deployments in both production and homelab environments.
Cosmos
The diagram places PhpMyAdmin in the Infinito.Nexus cosmos: the components it deploys (capabilities), the central services it consumes (dependencies), and its outward reach (federation and bridged external networks).

Solid 1:1 edges are fixed relationships; dashed 0..1 edges are conditional (enabled only in matching deployments); red 0..0 edges are turned off in this role. Node markers show the role's deploy modes (💻 host, 🐳 compose, 🐝 swarm); ❌ marks a service that is explicitly turned off, and ⚙️ an Ansible role dependency declared in meta/main.yml.
Purpose
The purpose of this role is to provide a reliable, configurable, and secure PhpMyAdmin deployment out-of-the-box. It minimizes the need for manual setup, and integrates smoothly with other Infinito.Nexus infrastructure roles.
Features
- Docker Compose Integration: Deploy PhpMyAdmin via a templated Compose setup.
- OAuth2 Proxy Support: Secure your admin interface with modern authentication.
- Central DB Integration: Connects to shared MariaDB instances for multi-role environments.
- Custom Configuration: Leverage Ansible variables to fine-tune your deployment.
- Healthchecks & Networking: Includes Docker healthchecks and network setup logic.
Quick Setup
Development
Clone, set up the workstation, and deploy PhpMyAdmin onto the local stack:
git clone https://github.com/infinito-nexus/core.git
cd core
make onboard
make compose-deploy mode=reinstall apps=web-app-phpmyadmin full_cycle=false
Production
Run the published image to provision the inventory and deploy PhpMyAdmin to a managed server (the mounted volume persists the inventory):
APP=web-app-phpmyadmin
HOST=<your-server>
DOMAIN=<your-domain>
TLS_MODE=self_signed
SSH_PUBLIC_KEY="<your-ssh-public-key>"
docker run --rm -it \
-v "$PWD/inventories:/etc/infinito.nexus/inventories" \
-e APP="$APP" -e HOST="$HOST" -e DOMAIN="$DOMAIN" -e TLS_MODE="$TLS_MODE" -e SSH_PUBLIC_KEY="$SSH_PUBLIC_KEY" \
ghcr.io/infinito-nexus/core/debian bash -c '
INVENTORY=/etc/infinito.nexus/inventories/production
infinito administration inventory provision "$INVENTORY" \
--inventory-file "$INVENTORY/devices.yml" \
--host "$HOST" \
--include "$APP" \
--vars "{\"TLS_MODE\": \"$TLS_MODE\", \"DOMAIN_PRIMARY\": \"$DOMAIN\", \"users\": {\"administrator\": {\"authorized_keys\": [\"$SSH_PUBLIC_KEY\"]}}}" &&
infinito administration deploy dedicated "$INVENTORY/devices.yml" \
--password-file "$INVENTORY/.password" \
--diff -vv'
Persona contract opt-outs
phpMyAdmin signs in as the MariaDB root account wired through PMA_USER / PMA_PASSWORD (templates/env.j2, vars/main.yml); the Keycloak administrator username is not a MariaDB user, so in the services.sso.enabled: false matrix variants the administrator persona has no native login to drive and templates/playwright.env.j2 renders PERSONA_ADMINISTRATOR_BLOCKED=true. meta/services.yml admits only the web-app-phpmyadmin administrator RBAC group to the oauth2-proxy (sso.oauth2.allowed_groups) and biber carries an empty role list, so PERSONA_BIBER_BLOCKED=true holds in every variant. The guest persona and the baseline assertions run unconditionally.
