defaults/main.yml declared test_e2e_playwright_wait_enabled, _retries and _delay with param docs. Nothing read them: 02_run_one.yml uses the uppercase TEST_E2E_PLAYWRIGHT_WAIT_* names from vars/main.yml as retries, delay and in the readiness condition. These were not overridden defaults but a separate, unread namespace, so they read as knobs while turning nothing. After removing them the lowercase names have no occurrence left in the repository, while the uppercase ones are used in three places.
