Move files that share a delimiter-bounded name prefix within a folder (threshold 2) into a subfolder named after the prefix, dropping the prefix from the filename. Covers plugins/filter (docker, generate, has, merge, get/all), env handler subpackages, utils/roles/entity, utils/tests/swarm/write, role SQL/scripts/templates, keycloak/mailu task-includes, shared tasks/utils/load, and CI scripts. Update every import, query_file/script/include_tasks/src/lookup target, compose bind mount, and python -m path to the new locations.
Extend the prefix-grouped-files lint to threshold 2 with dir-level .nocheck and file-head nocheck opt-outs, and skip groups whose shortest member's stem equals the shared prefix. Keep flat only where a loader forbids nesting: WordPress mu-plugins and the docs/requirements namespace. Ansible filter discovery is recursive, so nested filters stay Jinja-resolvable.

The container-exec-resolver lint only saw the inline shell form, so the
`command: argv: [container, exec, <name>]` list form (two separate lines)
slipped through, which is how checkmk's bare name reached swarm. Extend the
scanner to parse argv sequences via yaml.compose_all with node line numbers,
and annotate the nine legitimate bare-name execs (mariadb recovery container,
matomo compose-only debug, probe-gated nextcloud partner provisioning, pixelfed
runtime-resolved CID, wordpress launcher-managed discourse) with
# nocheck: container-exec-resolver.

Add tests/lint/repository/test_name_emoji_and_length.py: every Ansible task
name and GitHub Actions workflow/job/step name must start with an emoji (first
char not 0-9/A-Za-z) and be <= 80 chars.
- emit emoji names at the source: cli/build/include generator now writes
"🔧 setup <app>" / "🚿 flush handlers after <app>" so generated
tasks/groups/*-roles.yml satisfy the convention too
- convert existing task/step/job/workflow names to emoji-prefixed, choosing a
task-fitting icon per action (📦 install, ✅ ensure, 🔍 probe, 🥾 bootstrap,
🚀 deploy, 🧩 service-module load, ⬇️ checkout, 📂 include-routines, ...)

The bootstrap/admin tasks exec 'container exec PIXELFED_CONTAINER' (the bare service name 'pixelfed'), which is not a swarm container name -> 'No such container: pixelfed'. Adopt the matomo resolve_host_cid pattern: resolve PIXELFED_HOST_NODE + PIXELFED_LOCAL_CID once, exec against the resolved id with delegate_to the hosting node, and drop the chdir (irrelevant to container exec and absent on a delegated worker). Compose is byte-identical (HOST_NODE = inventory_hostname, LOCAL_CID = PIXELFED_CONTAINER).

- Replace 13 raw `container exec mysql/psql` invocations across
web-app-pixelfed, web-app-fider, and web-app-mattermost with the
canonical `database_query` module + `query_file:` + `named_args:`
pattern. The module already speaks both shared (central `svc-db-*`)
and non-shared (per-role `<entity>-database`) modes via the
`database` lookup, so the same task shape works regardless of DB
topology — the per-role hardcoded container-exec argv was the only
blocker.
- Extract every inline SQL body into per-role `files/sql/` trees.
Pixelfed splits further into `files/sql/oidc-mapping/` because the
OIDC-mapping cluster is a distinct concern from the bootstrap /
administrator queries. Each SQL file is single-purpose and named by
verb-noun (count-users, select-admin-id, upsert, etc.) to match the
precedent set by web-app-odoo.
- Fider's existing `files/{create_admin_user,configure_oidc_provider}.sql`
move to `files/sql/` and switch from psql-specific `:'var'`
variable substitution (which forced `stdin:` piping with `-v`
flags) to engine-neutral `%(name)s` placeholders the module
escapes per backend.
- Pixelfed loses `PIXELFED_MARIADB_ARGS` + 3 derived DB vars
(`*_CONTAINER`, `*_USERNAME`, `*_PASSWORD`) from `vars/main.yml` —
they were the manual argv bundle for the old container-exec
pattern and become orphan once `lookup('database', application_id)`
takes over.
- Every refactored task carries `mask_values:
MASK_CREDENTIALS_IN_LOGS` (module-level credential redaction);
tasks that previously used `no_log: MASK_CREDENTIALS_IN_LOGS`
keep both directives so the task-level masking stays alongside
the module-level one.

Marks each role's primary entity (`mastodon`, `friendica`, `pixelfed`)
as `shared: true; enabled: true` in meta/services.yml so the variant-
aware service registry resolves them. Consumer roles can now pull any
of the three in via `services.<entity>.enabled: true; shared: true`
(e.g. from a variant) without listing the role under
`meta/main.yml.dependencies` and without committing every deploy of
the consumer role to a heavyweight Fediverse pull-in.
To pass the service-role schema lint each tasks/main.yml now collapses
to a thin wrapper that includes a new tasks/01_core.yml under a
`run_once_<role_slug>` guard, and 01_core.yml ends with the role's
existing setup pipeline. The pre-existing step files are renumbered
to leave 01 free for the canonical entry point:
web-app-mastodon
00_overrides.yml -> 02_overrides.yml
01_setup.yml -> 03_setup.yml
02_wait.yml -> 04_wait.yml
03_cleanup.yml -> 05_cleanup.yml
04_administrator.yml -> 06_administrator.yml
web-app-friendica
01_ldap.yml -> 02_ldap.yml
02_patch_config.yml -> 03_patch_config.yml
03_addons.yml -> 04_addons.yml
web-app-pixelfed
00_bootstrap.yml -> 02_bootstrap.yml
01_administrator.yml -> 03_administrator.yml
02_oidc_mapping.yml -> 04_oidc_mapping.yml
Each role's 01_core.yml wires the renumbered files via include/import
exactly where the previous main.yml did. No behaviour change for
direct deploys (APPS=web-app-<role>) — load_app.yml already gates on
`run_once_<role>`, so the wrapper is invariant under the existing
direct-deploy path. Variant-driven service-registry pull-ins now work
end-to-end for these three roles.
