kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 5 b3ce43a596 fix(security): require no_log on every task that carries a credential
At -vvv Ansible prints each module argument and result, so a password in
a command line, a request body, a header or a fact lands in the deploy
log. Nothing enforced masking outside the MCP task files, and no check
looked at parents at all.

A new lint, test_credential_tasks_are_masked, finds tasks whose printed
parts (module arguments, environment, loop) reference an identifier ending
in password, secret, token, api_key or private_key, or
secrets.credentials. A task passes when it or an enclosing block sets
no_log, when every file that pulls it in does so through include_tasks
with apply.no_log or import_tasks with no_log (transitively), when the
secret only reaches a parameter the module masks itself, or when the
module masks its values. no_log on an include_tasks task itself does not
count, because it does not reach the included tasks. The rule can be
suppressed per task with `# nocheck: credential-masking`, now listed in
the suppression catalog, and the lint tests its parent and suppression
logic on synthetic cases.

It found 39 unmasked tasks in 19 roles, all real: join tokens, client
secrets, API tokens in Cloudflare headers, database passwords in
command lines, the ChatGPT bot login body and more. Each now sets
no_log from MASK_CREDENTIALS_IN_LOGS. The sys-dns-hetzner-rdns alias
hetzner_no_log, which only restated that switch, is gone.

Not covered yet: template and copy tasks whose rendered file carries a
secret print it as a diff under --diff.

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 5 f5413db03c fix(listmonk): keep the password lint off a filename
test_quote_in_shell matches any token containing 'password' anywhere in a shell task and requires it to carry '| quote'. In the realign task that token was the filename in the stdin lookup, not a credential: the password itself already goes through '| quote' on the line above. The check was right to look and wrong about what it found, because the name invited it.

Renaming removes the cause. A nocheck would have blinded the check at that spot for good, including for a genuinely unquoted password added there later, and 'credential' describes the file just as well.

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 5 686ae66726 fix(listmonk): realign the administrator password Listmonk persisted at install
Listmonk seeds the administrator from LISTMONK_ADMIN_PASSWORD only while the users table is still empty, and its CLI exposes install, upgrade and config flags but nothing for users. The swarm matrix rotates credentials between the sync and the async pass, so the async pass typed a password the app had never stored; in run 33923190220 listmonk#1 answered 'Invalid login or password'.

The task above already reaches into the same table for email and password_login, so this joins it rather than inventing a second path. Ansible's password_hash cannot produce the bcrypt: passlib 1.7.4 against bcrypt 4.x raises on any input in this toolchain. pgcrypto does it in the database instead, and it is a trusted extension since PostgreSQL 13, so the owner creates it without superuser rights; the control file in postgis/postgis:17-3.5 confirms trusted = true.

Idempotence comes from re-hashing with the stored salt: crypt(:'pw', password) reproduces the stored hash when the password is unchanged, the row falls out of the WHERE, and psql reports UPDATE 0.

Verified end to end against listmonk v6.2.0 on that same postgres image: the app seeds users.password as 60-character bcrypt, the first run reports UPDATE 1 and the second UPDATE 0, and the stored hash then verifies against the rotated password and no longer against the install one.

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 5 791eee7c9f refactor(mcp)!: prove the endpoint contract with a CLI test, not a deploy probe
The contract check ran as an Ansible task in the middle of every provider deploy, and the two client checks ran the same way. A test that is part of the deploy cannot be run without deploying, cannot be re-run on its own, and reports its verdict as a deploy failure. Twenty-seven task files lose 491 lines to this.

It is now what it always was. Each provider ships files/test/test.sh, templates/test.env.j2 and meta/tests.yml, and test-e2e-cli stages one shared harness beside it: run.sh drives contract.sh in a throwaway container on the provider's own network, then isolation.sh for adapter-fronted providers. The read probe each provider offers moved from the calling task into meta/mcp.yml next to the allowlist it must satisfy, and the schema now rejects a read probe naming a tool outside that allowlist.

The bearer the test presents is the one a client resolves through mcp.credential, via the new mcp_client_bearer lookup over resolve_credential, which moved to utils.roles.applications.mcp so it is the same function mcp_servers renders every client connection with. The probe presented whatever the calling role passed, which for the fifteen adapter-fronted providers is a different secret than any client holds.

Sidecar isolation is read from the engine rather than measured inside the container, so it no longer needs a delegation to the node holding the task: attachment is compared by network name, which drops the gwbridge special case, and a swarm worker says it cannot measure instead of skipping silently.

Retrying is bounded by wall clock against MCP_DEADLINE_SECONDS, which scales through the same lookup('timeout') as the harness budget it has to stay under. A flag that is neither true nor false aborts rather than reading as off.

mcp-provider-probe becomes mcp-provider-cli-test: an enabled provider must ship the test rather than include the task. mcp-probe-bearer becomes mcp-adapter-bearer, tying ADAPTER_BEARER to the declared credential key now that no probe include carries it. A new integration test renders the shared env template for every provider through Ansible's own templar, so a later change to it breaks visibly instead of poisoning twenty deploys quietly.

Hermes and OpenClaw keep their client-side proof as CLI tests of their own.

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 5 2071c347ae fix(listmonk): notice a rotated MCP token, not only a created one
Listmonk#0 of run 33414875521 failed the adapter probe in PASS 2:

    REJECTED read call listmonk_get_stats answered 502:
    {"error":{"code":-32000,"message":"upstream_error","data":{"upstream_status":403}}}

403, not a transport error: the adapter reached Listmonk and was turned away.

changed_when matched the psql tag `INSERT 0 1`, which by construction appears only
on the very first deploy -- mcp_identity.sql:14 guards the INSERT with
WHERE NOT EXISTS. On a rotation the row is already there, the statement takes the
UPDATE branch, the new sha256 lands in users.password, and changed_when evaluates
false. The restart block that 8e6fc81eff built then skips, and Listmonk keeps
answering from the API-user cache it loaded when compose recreated it two seconds
earlier -- still holding the previous hash.

The two halves have to move together. The users UPDATE carried no equality guard,
unlike the roles UPDATE two statements above it, so `UPDATE 1` fired on every run
and meant nothing. Guarding it makes the tag informative; only then may
changed_when read it. Guard alone leaves the rotation invisible exactly as today;
widened changed_when alone would restart Listmonk on every converged run.

Measured, not reasoned. sha256 recomputed locally and matched against the log:

    'ZOPJ...XUNP' -> 6a8b5b5d...  = PASS 1 token_hash (listmonk0.log:149940)
    'aTiG...91Iz' -> a90e2a4d...  = PASS 2 token_hash (:343692)

and the window is closed on both ends: compose up ended 21:08:57.93, the new hash
landed 21:08:59.70, the probe ran 21:09:02.15, nothing restarted in between. The
gate flip is verbatim in the log -- PASS 1 `INSERT 0 1 ... changed: true` then the
restart task; PASS 2 `INSERT 0 0 / UPDATE 1 ... changed: false` then
`skipping: false_condition: listmonk_mcp_identity.changed`.

Retrying could not have helped: probe.yml:115 short-circuits its 30 attempts on a
REJECTED verdict, and rightly so -- the database row was correct, the running
process was not.

Matching stdout_lines as list membership rather than a substring of stdout is
deliberate: psql prints each command tag on its own line, and 'UPDATE 1' as a
substring is also satisfied by `UPDATE 10`.

Listmonk was the only role in the tree inferring change from a psql tag --
grep -rn "INSERT 0 1" roles/ returns this one hit, while checkmk, n8n, baserow,
pretix, flowise and jellyfin all emit an explicit marker.

Not covered: the restart path is exercised against a first creation, never against
a rotation. A two-pass deploy closes that.

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 5 8e6fc81eff fix(listmonk): reload the API user cache the way each deployment mode allows
After minting the MCP identity the role restarted Listmonk with `container restart`
on the container id. In swarm that id belongs to a task the orchestrator owns, and
the daemon refuses:

    Error response from daemon: Cannot restart container 21bda395f531: failed

Thirty attempts, the same refusal each time, and the job ended there.

The compose path keeps `container restart`; swarm gets `container service update
--force` on the service name, which is what the orchestrator offers for this and
what web-app-jellyfin already does to reload its plugins. The swarm branch needs no
delegate_to -- a service update is the manager's business, not that of whichever node
happens to hold the task -- and carries a timeout, because forcing an update waits
for convergence.

Both branches sit in one block under the shared `when: listmonk_mcp_identity.changed`
so the condition cannot drift apart, and run_once moves up with it. Only the mode
test stays per branch.

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 5 7162b7bf4c Merge fork/feature/svc-net-tor into feature/ai-agent-employees
834 commits from the Tor onion-service branch against 299 of ours, from merge
base 7b646bdece: 127 conflicted files, 3506 files changed.

The two sides are largely orthogonal. Theirs adds svc-net-tor and a `tor` service
across the role tree, plus two sweeping refactors: shipped scripts sorted by
language (files/ruby/, files/python/, files/shell/, scripts/lint/*.sh) and the
unit suite moved under tests/unit/python/. Ours is requirement 036, the native AI
gateway, plus the MCP role work. Most conflicts were both sides appending to the
same service map, resolved as unions.

Resolutions that were not unions:

Credentials moved namespace. Theirs renamed meta/schema.yml to meta/secrets.yml
and re-addressed credentials as secrets.credentials.<name>. Git carried our
litellm_api_key blocks through the rename, but every consumer we added still read
'credentials.<name>', which no longer resolves. All 45 call sites are migrated.

plugins/filter/container_volumes.py is deleted by theirs and relocated to
plugins/lookup/container_volumes.py, where it carries the same tmpfs defect our
f85996b43 had just fixed: a hard-coded {"size": ...} that silently drops a per
mount `mode`. The fix is re-applied in the relocated file, as that commit's merge
note anticipated.

compose.yml keeps only INFINITO_PLAYWRIGHT_REPORTS_BASE_DIR. Theirs also forwards
INFINITO_PLAYWRIGHT_STAGE_BASE_DIR; that line is deliberately dropped, per the
analysis recorded in 45804e9ad -- STAGE has a drift-proof role-vars fallback,
while forwarding it promotes a setdefault-pinnable .env value above that SPOT.

tasks/stages/01_constructor.yml takes their include, ./tasks/utils/setup/group.yml,
because their refactor removed tasks/groups/*-roles.yml, leaving our include
target nonexistent. Our task name is kept, since svc-virt is in the loop.

Makefile swarm-zombie is a union: their validate plus teardown, then our
lab_subnet cleanup, which their side dropped while leaving lab_subnet.sh as the
only orphaned reference in the file.

01_bootstrap.sh keeps our deterministic --ip pinning, which distinguishes an
already-attached node from a real failure, over their `|| true`.

Their language-sorted layout orphaned references our side still held: zammad's
two scripts/apply/*.rb, jenkins' java-with-ca-trust.sh, and the notify topics
their handlers renamed to hyphenated form. All corrected.

roles/sys-svc-compose/files/shell/swarm/stack_ready.sh gains our latched-update
block: paused, rollback_paused, rollback_started and rollback_completed exit 2
rather than polling a state that cannot resolve without another deploy.

config_from_run is unioned to (title, logged, jobs); the production caller in
trigger/__main__.py now passes jobs, without which our suite suppression would
have been inert.

READMEs are regenerated rather than hand-merged: 15 LiteLLM rows and 91 Tor rows
now derive from the merged metadata, which is itself evidence the meta merge is
coherent.

Verified: 5161 unit tests pass. The single failure, test_query.py TestSortSpec,
also fails on fork/feature/svc-net-tor at b51d2f9919, measured in a baseline
worktree -- so this merge introduces no new unit-test failure. Two modules are
excluded from that run because `baudolo`, a dependency their branch introduces,
is not installed on this host.
Not verified: no deploy has run against the merged tree, and make quality has not
been run end to end here.

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 5 a46348b6cf refactor(handlers): bind notify to a listen topic, not to a name
A handler name was doing two jobs at once: the line an operator reads in the
play output, and the identifier a `notify:` binds to. The two pull in opposite
directions -- the log wants "restart the SSH service, with diagnostics", the
binding wants a token that survives quoting, YAML flow style and a shell
round-trip -- and a name that changes for readability silently changes which
handler runs.

Every handler that a notify reached by name now carries a `listen:` with that
exact wording, so the binding is explicit before anything is renamed. The
topics themselves become identifiers: `compose up` reads `compose-up`,
`Restart NFS ganesha` reads `restart-nfs-ganesha`, 22 of them across both
sides of every notify. Where the topic is assembled at runtime, both branches
moved together: the conditional in sys-service carries two literals, and the
LDAP renderer interpolates `import-{{ folder }}-ldif-files`, which is what
makes those handlers reachable at all.

Freed from the binding, the names take the emoji prefix every other task line
already has.

kevinveenbirkenbach c8ff5e8605 feat(services): register every MCP provider as a shared service
Ten provider roles served an MCP surface that other roles consume, but
were never declared as shared services, so the registry did not know
them. Declaring them pulls in the recursion contract every registry
service owes: seven roles move their entry tasks into tasks/00_core.yml
behind the run_once flag, so the service loader cannot include them a
second time.

pretix already had a run_once block, but set the flag last; the flag now
comes first, before the body it protects.
2026-08-09 22:22:08 +02:00
kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 5 a423bde6cc refactor(mcp): unify client entrypoints and read provider tokens through one lookup
Every MCP role keeps its task tree under tasks/utils/ without numeric
prefixes, so a caller can reach any of them through include_role
tasks_from. utils/roles/mapping.py holds that path as the single source.

Ansible resolves a relative include against the including file's own
directory when that file was reached by path, but against tasks/ when it
was reached through tasks_from. The same file therefore loaded from its
own role and failed from a caller using tasks_from. Every nested include
now names {{ role_path }}/tasks/utils/..., which holds under both bases,
and a lint walks each tasks_from entrypoint transitively to keep it so.
The exec-gating lint learns the same form, otherwise it loses the include
chain and reports inherited IS_STACK_HOST gates as missing.

The expression resolving a provider's stored token appeared eighteen
times. plugins/lookup/mcp_credential.py replaces it, and mcp_probe_owner
disappears from eight roles: it was only ever a step towards the bearer
and no probe read it.

The Hermes and OpenClaw probes stop aborting the play while it is still
running. Roles deploy in dependency order, so a client probing during its
own role can run before a provider exists at all, and failing there
prevents that provider from ever deploying. The verdict moves to the
reconciliation pass, gated on MCP_RECONCILE_STRICT, which the reconciler
sets and group_vars declares so the readers need no default.

The sys-svc-mcp-reconcile role is added here; wiring it into a stage is a
separate change.

kevinveenbirkenbach 1c03f638be feat(mcp): serve MCP from a locked-down sidecar for ten more applications
Ten applications with no MCP server of their own get one without a line of code
inside them: qdrant, checkmk, fider, jellyfin, listmonk, pretix, prometheus,
snipe-it, zammad and libretranslate.

The sidecar is confined rather than trusted. It runs read-only, drops every
capability, forbids privilege escalation, publishes no port and joins only its
own provider's network, carrying neither that provider's alias nor the consumer
networks the provider itself joined. Its tool surface is a JSON contract, not
code: which tools exist, which upstream path each maps to and what shape the
arguments take. Adding a tool is a line of JSON, not a new image.

The image is built locally from the audited adapter source with the base image
as a build argument, so all ten share one reviewed build instead of ten upstream
dependencies. Each role provisions its own read-only identity in the language
its application speaks, and every adapter include is guarded by the role's MCP
flag, so switching it off leaves no container behind.

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 5 d0ec15cc05 fix(listmonk): recreate the container so its settings are ever loaded
Every entry in LISTMONK_SETTINGS was one boot late. Listmonk reads settings
into koanf once at startup (cmd/main.go:186 initSettings) and builds the media
store from them (:205); the only reload trigger is SIGHUP (:315). The role
writes them with a direct UPDATE from 02_manager_ops.yml:34, after the single
`notify: compose up` in the whole role has already been flushed at :8. A DB
write reaches neither koanf nor the settings API, and `changed_when: false`
meant the task could not notify a handler even if one existed.

It never self-healed either: notify fires only on a changed config.toml, which
on the second run is identical, so no recreate. In the CI shape -- fresh stack,
one deploy, then Playwright -- the settings were guaranteed inactive.

What was therefore never in effect: upload.provider=s3 and the whole
upload.s3.* block (uploads went to the container filesystem, not the bucket),
security.oidc (so /admin/login rendered no SSO control at all), smtp, and
app.root_url -- which is why the deployed instance's public pages linked to
http://localhost:9000.

Proven against listmonk/listmonk:v6.2.0 with a throwaway Postgres: with the
settings written and no reload, /admin/login has no OIDC form; after
`docker kill --signal HUP` the same URL renders
`<form method="post" action="/auth/oidc">`. `container recreate` is the
existing shared handler, already used for exactly this in
web-app-peertube/tasks/oidc/enable.yml.

The OIDC control is still not reachable by the shared persona helper after the
reload: clickOidcLoginLink prefers the strict locator, and Listmonk's native
submit button's accessible name is exactly "Login" while the OIDC button is
"Login with <name>" -- so the strict matcher takes the wrong control. There is
no setting that hides the native form; cmd/auth.go renderLoginPage hardcodes
PasswordEnabled. appearance.public.custom_js is a real v6.2.0 setting, injected
into /admin/login and served same-origin, so a few lines of JS submit the OIDC
form and the second hop disappears. The shared helper stays untouched, which
keeps the 61 other roles that route through it out of this.

Measured with the helper's own source driving a real browser: no reload ->
no form; reload alone -> reached: false; reload plus custom_js -> reached: true.

The administrator persona is unblocked accordingly. biber stays blocked, and
for the third distinct reason this role has been given: Listmonk matches OIDC
users by e-mail and provisions no biber account, cmd/auth.go OIDCFinish 404s
unless security.oidc.auto_create_users is set, and createOIDCUser needs a real
default_user_role_id -- the seeded database holds only Super Admin.

Three nocheck rationales in playwright.env.j2 asserted things that are false:
that mail delivery is "covered by the sys-svc-mail integration tests" (no such
tests exist; the coverage is in web-app-mailu's own spec), and twice that the
CSP helper asserts the injector origin (personas/utils/csp.js:96 bails with
`if (!host) continue`, and no consumer role renders CSS_BASE_URL). Rewritten to
what is actually true.

Not fixed here, recorded in TODO.md: security.enable_captcha,
security.captcha_key and security.captcha_secret do not exist in v6.2.0 -- the
live table carries one security.captcha object -- so all three UPDATEs match
zero rows and hCaptcha has never been active. Repairing that would switch a
captcha on for the public subscription form, which is a behaviour change nobody
asked for.

Unverified: the logout leg. Whether inAppLogout finds Listmonk's Vue user menu,
and whether assertCspInjections passes against the admin SPA, has not been run.
The first deploy settles both.

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 5 cd1225d2d9 fix(async): collect fire-and-forget results
The repo's async convention is fire and forget: ASYNC_POLL is 0 whenever
ASYNC_ENABLED is true, and the swarm test lane forces it true through
extra vars. A task dispatched that way returns a stub, so a changed_when
or failed_when reading its own register evaluates against nothing and can
never report changed and never fail. Several tasks carried a
"not ASYNC_ENABLED and" prefix in front of those conditions, added to
avoid touching undefined rc and stdout, which turned the guard off
entirely rather than adapting it.

That is how the nextcloud plugin configuration stayed broken unseen: the
batch reported ok after 0.8s while its delegated commands kept running,
the next task read the half written configuration, and no failure in any
of them could surface.

Every async in the repo was decided individually rather than swept. Where
nothing consumes the result, the async stays and a one line rationale now
records what does not read it. Where a later task, a handler or a browser
does consume it, either the async goes or the result is collected.

Collecting is what the new reaper does. It waits for a whole batch, then
reports every broken job at once instead of aborting on the first, so one
run shows whether a single item or the whole set is broken. Deciding what
counts as broken lives in a filter plugin, because the distinction is
subtle enough to deserve tests: a module reports failure in msg, a command
in rc and stdout, an idempotent API answers "already exists" and means
success, and a job that cannot be read at all comes back marked finished
with no outcome, which would otherwise read as green.

Timing cost is roughly one to two minutes on a deploy measured in hours.

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 4.8 cc5f13b7a7 fix(web-app-listmonk): let the container self-install and pin to v6.2.0
The stock image CMD exits on an empty DB ("Run --install."), so the server
crash-looped on first deploy while the role exec'd 'yes | ./listmonk --install'
into that same crashing container, which was SIGKILLed (rc 137) and never
converged. Adopt listmonk's own recommended container command (idempotent
install, upgrade, then serve; the super admin is seeded from LISTMONK_ADMIN_USER
/ _PASSWORD), and replace the exec dance with a DB-reachability probe plus a
wait for the users table to be seeded. Pin latest to the current stable v6.2.0
so the CLI/schema contract cannot drift. Same flow in compose and swarm.

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 4.8 1dbbe90b9e fix(ansible): rename per-item render guard from when to condition
A per-item boolean guard carried as a data field named 'when' must hold {{ EXPR }} so the consumer can template it to a real bool; but ansible-core 2.21+ then flags 'conditionals surrounded by templating delimiters'. Rename the data field to 'condition' (a data field may legitimately hold {{ }}) so no genuine conditional carries {{ }}. Also wraps the four previously-bare listmonk entries, which were silently always-False, so those settings now apply when enabled.

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 4.8 23d1447566 refactor(ansible): add path_absolute lookup, replace playbook_dir joins
Introduce plugins/lookup/path_absolute.py as the single source for the
repo-root anchor: lookup('path_absolute', 'roles/...') returns an absolute
path under playbook_dir, joining every term. Replace all hand-built
playbook_dir path constructions across .yml/.yaml and .j2 templates with it:

  [playbook_dir, '<rel>'] | path_join   -> lookup('path_absolute', '<rel>')
  playbook_dir ~ '/<rel>'               -> lookup('path_absolute', '<rel>')
  {{ playbook_dir }}/<rel>              -> lookup('path_absolute', '<rel>')

Unrelated repo_path symbols in cli/meta/roles/applications/resolution and the
single bare discover_playwright_roles(playbook_dir) call are left untouched.

Add tests/lint/ansible/test_playbook_dir_via_lookup.py: fails the build if any
of the three construction forms reappears in .yml/.yaml/.j2, pointing callers
at the lookup. Unit test covers the plugin.

Touching these files pulled their pre-existing narration comments into
test_comments_valid scope; clean them (delete restatement/banners, keep real
trip-wires as Workaround/Upstream/Invariant markers). Drop caution, important
and pitfall from the comment-lint marker vocabulary and remove the comments
that used them.

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 4.8 cddb0dc59b feat(lint): require emoji-prefixed task/step/job names + convert existing
Add tests/lint/repository/test_name_emoji_and_length.py: every Ansible task

char not 0-9/A-Za-z) and be <= 80 chars.

  "🔧 setup <app>" / "🚿 flush handlers after <app>" so generated

- convert existing task/step/job/workflow names to emoji-prefixed, choosing a

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 4.8 d5d17f241b refactor(swarm): shared resolve_host_cid + wait_converged utils
Replace the per-role swarm host-node/container-id resolve duplicated across fider, matomo, decidim, keycloak (login + realm-import), collabora and listmonk with two shared task utils under roles/sys-svc-compose/tasks/utils/swarm/. resolve_host_cid sets <prefix>_HOST_NODE / <prefix>_LOCAL_CID (swarm: converge + node + cid delegated to the node; compose: inventory host + given cid); wait_converged is the bare convergence gate.

Teach test_variable_definitions to read templated set_fact keys like {{ prefix }}_HOST_NODE as a *_HOST_NODE name pattern (guarded so a pure {{ x }} key cannot become a catch-all), and add the playbook_dir-relative include load-failure exemptions to .ansible-lint-ignore.

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 4.8 5aae5a0be3 fix(swarm-deploy): evaluate resolve-container-id in listmonk + joomla; hoist joomla PHP to files
In swarm mode *_CONTAINER_ADDRESS resolves to "$(/usr/bin/resolve-container-id
<stack> <service>)", which must reach /bin/sh unquoted so the subshell runs.

- listmonk: drop the `| quote` filter; shlex.quote single-quoted the whole
  "$(...)", suppressing the substitution, so docker received the literal token
  ("No such container: $(...)").
- joomla: rewrite the docker/container exec tasks from the shell argv-list form
  (executed directly, never via /bin/sh, so the $() was never evaluated) to the
  free-form string shell, and switch the raw `docker exec` calls to the
  `container` wrapper (the argv form had hidden them from the no-raw-docker lint).
- joomla: move the three inline PHP scripts (configuration.php debug toggle, DB
  settings patch, OIDC plugin ZIP packaging) out of inline `vars:` into
  files/php/*.php, fed via `lookup('file', ...)` over stdin to
  `container exec -i ... php --`, with their inputs passed as J_* env vars
  (the files/php + stdin convention already used by friendica/espocrm/snipe-it).

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 4.7 a212ed9df2 refactor(roles): swarm-aware exec routing in 7 roles
Replace compose-mode-specific `{{ BIN_COMPOSE }} exec ... {{ SERVICE }}`
+ `args.chdir: lookup('container', ..., 'directories.instance')`
invocations with `container exec -i {{ ..._CONTAINER_ADDRESS | quote }}`
(plus `--workdir` flag where chdir was load-bearing). The container
exec wrapper resolves the actual runtime container name on both
compose (compose-suffixed name) and swarm (stack-task-id-suffixed
name) via the `container_address` lookup, so the task no longer
assumes the compose-mode service-name address.

Pure-syntax adaptation only — no behavioural change, same register /
when / failed_when / no_log semantics preserved on every task.

Roles touched (12 task files):
- web-app-espocrm (1)
- web-app-friendica (2)
- web-app-listmonk (1)
- web-app-openproject (2)
- web-app-snipe-it (3)

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 4.7 a4cb5b89e1 feat(swarm): swarm-aware container exec via container_address lookup
Adds a mode-aware `container_address` lookup plugin and a
`resolve-container-id` helper script that resolve swarm task IDs at
exec time (compose mode returns bare names unchanged). Migrates ~25
roles + ~28 task files from `command:` to `shell:` so the lookup's
`$(...)` subshell evaluates correctly, and extends `database` lookup
with an `address` key for cross-role DB exec.

Three new lint tests enforce the contract: every container exec
target goes through the resolver, lives behind an IS_STACK_HOST gate
(walks the include graph one hop deep), and uses `shell:` rather than
`command:` when the target is a Jinja reference. Existing nocheck
suppressions on bare-name DB exec sites (nextcloud redis, listmonk,
moodle OIDC, mailu) are replaced with the lookup-based form.

Fixes the systemd Environment= injection in sys-ctl-cln-disc-space
(it never expanded $(...)) by passing STACK / SERVICE_KEY parts and
resolving inside the script. Extracts shopware admin and mediawiki
extension install bodies into dedicated .sh files invoked via env.
Rewrites password-bearing shell tasks to either `| quote` directly or
the `-e VAR=... | quote` + `sh -c '... ${VAR} ...'` env-bridge pattern.

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 4.7 05f6a97bd8 refactor(stack_host_template): generalise IS_STACK_HOST template wrapper across the codebase
Renames the local action plugin from `conf_template` to
`stack_host_template` so the name carries the actual semantics
(IS_STACK_HOST gate, not nginx config), broadens the lint guard to
every bare `template:` task, and migrates every consumer found in the
audit.

Plugin / tests / lint:
  * plugins/action/conf_template.py -> plugins/action/stack_host_template.py
    (drop nginx-specific docstring; trust_as_template gate unchanged)
  * test_conf_template.py            -> test_stack_host_template.py
  * test_conf_template_migration.py  -> test_stack_host_template_migration.py
    Scope expanded from `.conf.j2` to every `template:` task; marker
    renamed to `nocheck: stack-host-template`.

Migrations (~50 tasks now using stack_host_template:):
  * sys-svc-compose/04_files.yml: compose.yml, .env, Dockerfile,
    compose.override (every per-app compose-tree file)
  * web-app-keycloak: sso_proxy upstream-config (fixes the friendica
    CI failure that prompted this refactor) + realm-import

kevinveenbirkenbach 1da3c2eda7 fix(web-app): gate manager-only role bodies behind IS_STACK_HOST
Across roles/web-app-*, the typical body shape is:
  - include_role: sys-stk-full (or sys-svc-compose)   cluster prereqs
  - <host-fs writes, container exec, compose exec>    stack-host only

Under swarm-mode delegation the second group only makes sense on the
host that holds the compose stack (manager), but the role plays on
every host in groups[<role>] so workers abort on missing paths.

Two workflow sweeps (gate-manager-ops + gate-manager-ops-01core, 58
agents total, discover/plan/adversarial-verify per role) plus three
manual fixes surfaced 27 roles to refactor. Each role keeps
sys-stk-full ungated so worker-side prereqs (sys-svc-container, NFS
client) still bootstrap; the trailing manager-only block either moves
into a new tasks/02_manager_ops.yml included with
when: IS_STACK_HOST | bool (SUB_FILE pattern) or gets the gate
inlined on the one or two trailing tasks (INLINE pattern). In
compose mode IS_STACK_HOST stays true so single-host deploys are
unchanged.

Manual catches the workflow agents missed:
- web-app-fediwall: utils/once/flag.yml lives AT THE END of 01_core,
  not at the start; preserved verbatim outside the gate so workers
  still flip the run_once_<role> fact.
- web-app-xwiki: a pre-existing block(...) wraps sys-stk-full plus
  _flush_config.yml; gated only the _flush_config.yml include so
  sys-stk-full keeps running on workers.
- web-app-dashboard: 02_javascript.yml (creates /opt/compose/dashboard/
  JS dirs) ran BEFORE sys-stk-full and was ungated; added the gate.

Roles touched (INLINE): akaunting, jenkins, magento, mobilizon
Roles touched (SUB_FILE): baserow, dashboard, decidim, erpnext,
  fediwall, friendica, gitea, jitsi, keycloak, listmonk, littlejs,

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 4.7 24d4ab8e4a refactor(sso)\!: collapse oauth2 + oidc into unified services.sso block (req 21)
Implements docs/requirements/021-sso-flavor-migration.md atomically:

* Schema: every role's meta/services.yml replaces the parallel
  `oauth2:` / `oidc:` top-level blocks with a single `sso:` block
  carrying `enabled`, `shared`, and a `flavor` discriminator
  (`oidc` | `oauth2` | `saml`; default `oidc`). Flavor-specific
  sub-keys live under `sso.<flavor>.*` (`sso.oauth2.{origin,acl,
  allowed_groups}`, `sso.oidc.plugin`).
* Provider role: roles/web-app-oauth2-proxy/ is deleted in its
  entirety; its 5 sidecar templates move under
  roles/web-app-keycloak/templates/sso_proxy/, and the per-consumer
  rendering task lives at roles/web-app-keycloak/tasks/sso_proxy.yml.
  web-app-keycloak now declares `provides: sso`.
* Runtime: new resolver utils/roles/applications/services/sso.py
  centralises the SSO predicates (`is_enabled`, `is_proxy_gated`,
  `is_oidc_native`) and the oauth2 sub-values
  (`oauth2_origin_{host,port}`, `oauth2_acl`, `oauth2_allowed_groups`).
  Three lookup plugins consume the resolver: `sso` (single-app
  predicate access), `sso_proxy_consumers` (enumerates oauth2-flavored
  consumers), `sso_oidc_plugin` (renamed from `oidc_flavor`, Nextcloud
  plugin selector). sys-stk-backend, sys-svc-compose, sys-svc-proxy
  and plugins/filter/compose_volumes.py all gate on
  `lookup('sso', ..., 'is_proxy_gated')` instead of manually combining
  `enabled` and `flavor`.
* Identifier renames repo-wide: `services.<entity>.ports.local.oauth2`
  → `ports.local.sso`; `PORT_BANDS.local.oauth2` → `PORT_BANDS.local.sso`;
  `OAUTH2_PROXY_*` env/Jinja vars → `SSO_PROXY_*`;
  `oauth2_proxy_cookie_secret` → `sso_proxy_cookie_secret`;
  `OAUTH2_SERVICE_ENABLED` + `OIDC_SERVICE_ENABLED` collapse into
  `SSO_SERVICE_ENABLED`; Playwright gating helpers
  (isServiceEnabled/skipUnlessServiceEnabled/requireService/safeIsEnabled/
  safeSkipUnlessEnabled) move from `oidc`/`oauth2` to `sso`.
* Dual-block resolution: per req's Background-Table, web-app-bookwyrm
  is `flavor: oauth2`; web-app-gitea and web-app-friendica keep
  `flavor: oauth2` with their existing `oauth2.acl.blacklist`
  (/user/login) and `oauth2.acl.whitelist` (federation + discovery
  endpoints) — preserving the operative oauth2-proxy gating.
* Tests: the two mutual-exclusion guards
  (tests/integration/iam/oauth2_oidc/test_mutual_exclusive.py and
  test_acl_mutual_exclusive.py) are deleted per Decision #10;
  test_oauth2_contract.py is renamed and rewritten to
  test_sso_contract.py, asserting that `flavor: oauth2` roles carry
  `oauth2.origin.{host,port}` plus `ports.local.sso`; test_sso.py
  (web-app integration) now requires the unified `sso:` block with an
  explicit flavor or a `# nocheck: sso` opt-out; new
  tests/lint/repository/no_legacy_sso_paths/ guards the source tree
  against re-introducing the legacy strings.
* Docs: req 21 itself has every AC checked off, and reqs 006, 008,
  009, 013, 015, 016, 019, 020 plus 10+ role READMEs and
  docs/contributing/actions/testing/suppression.md are updated to the
  unified SSO naming.

Empirically validated end-to-end against the validation app set
(web-app-keycloak, web-app-nextcloud, web-app-bookwyrm, web-app-gitea,
web-app-friendica, web-app-dashboard) in matrix variants 0 and 1; v2
also passes the 4 target roles' Playwright after a documented
pre-existing KC_HOSTNAME-drift workaround (separate concern, not
caused by this refactor).

BREAKING CHANGE: every consumer of `services.oauth2.*`,
`services.oidc.*`, `OAUTH2_PROXY_*`, `OAUTH2_SERVICE_ENABLED`,
`OIDC_SERVICE_ENABLED`, `oauth2_proxy_cookie_secret`,
`oauth2_proxy_application_id`, `ports.local.oauth2`, the
`web-app-oauth2-proxy` role, or the legacy gating helper service names
(`oidc`/`oauth2`) must migrate to the unified `sso` shape documented
in docs/requirements/021-sso-flavor-migration.md.

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 4.7 19254a23b4 refactor(sys-svc-compose): rename docker_compose_flush_handlers → compose_handlers_flush
Pure 1:1 rename (69 insertions / 69 deletions across 66 files) to
finish the ``docker_*`` → ``compose_*`` alignment started in
8373468e9. The flag configures whether the compose include flushes
handlers right after run; the ``docker_`` prefix was misleading
(handlers are Ansible-side, not docker-side) and the variable is part
of the same ``sys-svc-compose`` SPOT cluster as ``compose_repository_*``.

Touches the role default, the implementation
(``sys-svc-compose/tasks/utils/up.yml``), all 60+ consumer roles,
the network-utility wrapper + its README, and the
``test_network_create_via_util.py`` lint (both the docstring guidance
and the asserted diff).

Breaking change for any external override that still sets the old
name — no alias is provided.

kevinveenbirkenbach fe264e7854 fix(web-app-listmonk): probe subscribers instead of \dt for emptiness gate
The previous emptiness check ran `\dt` against the listmonk database and
treated the absence of `No relations found.` / `Did not find any relations.`
in the output as proof that listmonk's schema was already installed.
Postgres now phrases the empty-result message as `Did not find any
relation` / `No matching relations found`, so the check kept reporting
the schema as present even when only system tables were there. The
`./listmonk --upgrade` path then ran against a structurally empty
database and exited with `the database does not appear to be setup. Run
--install.`.

Probe the canonical `subscribers` table directly and update the match
strings to postgres's current phrasing so `listmonk_db_empty` flips to
true on a fresh database and the install path runs first.

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 4.7 951f6d36d2 chore(lint): unify autoformat/galaxy parallelism into one PARALLEL env var
* scripts/lint/autoformat.sh: rename AUTOFORMAT_PARALLEL to PARALLEL,
  declare it at file start with default `true`; still env-overridable.
  Reword the worker comment so the literal `# shellcheck` token no
  longer appears at start-of-line and trips SC1072/SC1073.
* scripts/lint/galaxy.sh: drop the GALAXY_FATAL / GALAXY_NAMESPACE /
  GALAXY_PARALLEL env vars (over-engineered for a single repo). Failure
  is always fatal. NAMESPACE is an internal constant. Add the same
  PARALLEL env var (default `true`, env-overridable); falsy demotes the
  xargs fan-out to one worker.
* docs/contributing/environment/variables.md: collapse the four
  AUTOFORMAT_*/GALAXY_* rows into one `PARALLEL` row covering both
  consumers.
* docs/contributing/tools/make.md: refer to `PARALLEL=0` everywhere;
  add the lint-galaxy parallelism note.

Plus working-tree drift across roles/, group_vars/, inventories/, and
tasks/ that accumulated from the make-test setup phase regenerating
generated artefacts during recent test runs.

kevinveenbirkenbachandClaude Opus 4.7 ed04dad5d5 refactor(meta): land req-008/009/010 role-meta layout/networks/ports/run_after migration
Single atomic landing for three back-to-back role-meta refactor requirements
(see docs/requirements/008-role-meta-layout.md, 009-per-role-networks-and-ports.md,
010-role-meta-runafter-lifecycle-migration.md).

req-008 — role meta layout
  * Move every role's metadata under meta/<topic>.yml with file-root
    convention (no wrapping key matching the basename):
      - schema/main.yml + config/main.yml.credentials → meta/schema.yml
      - users/main.yml                                → meta/users.yml
      - config/main.yml.server                        → meta/server.yml
      - config/main.yml.rbac                          → meta/rbac.yml
      - config/main.yml.compose.services + every other top-level key
        of config/main.yml inlined under <entity>.<key>
                                                      → meta/services.yml
      - config/main.yml.compose.volumes               → meta/volumes.yml
  * Drop the legacy schema/, users/, config/ directories from every role.
  * meta/schema.yml: support nested credential keys, optional `default:`
    field (Jinja literal, not rendered/validated/regenerated), implicit
    `algorithm: plain`.
  * Materialised paths drop the `compose.` prefix:
      compose.services.<e>.<…> → services.<e>.<…>
      compose.volumes.<k>      → volumes.<k>
      <former-top-level>.<…>   → services.<entity_name>.<former-top-level>.<…>
  * Update every Python consumer (utils/cache, utils/manager, utils/applications,
    plugins/lookup, plugins/filter, cli/*) plus every Jinja template, vars/*.yml
    and task file to the new paths.
  * No legacy fallback. Repository-wide grep for `compose.services.` /
    `compose.volumes.` / `schema/main.yml` / `users/main.yml` / `config/main.yml`
    is empty outside docs/requirements/ and tasks/utils/migrate_meta_layout.py.
  * Add tests/lint/repository/test_role_meta_layout.py guarding against the
    old paths returning, and an explicit lint guard that meta/variants.yml
    files do not carry a `compose:` wrapper.

req-009 — per-role networks/ports
  * Move group_vars/all/08_networks.yml.defaults_networks.local.<role>.{subnet,
    dns_resolver} into roles/<role>/meta/server.yml.networks.local.{subnet,
    dns_resolver}.
  * Delete group_vars/all/09_ports.yml entirely; ports now live on the
    service entity that exposes them at
    roles/<role>/meta/services.yml.<entity>.ports.{inter,local,public}.
  * Rename + int-cast every former top-level `services.<entity>.port`
    field to `services.<entity>.ports.inter` (single int).
  * Always-category-keyed maps for ports.local / ports.public; relay
    spans use {start, end} integers.
  * Add PORT_BANDS map to group_vars/all/08_networks.yml — single source
    of truth for the per-<scope>.<category> band ranges, consumed by both
    the new CLI helpers and the lint test.
  * New CLI helpers (cli meta ports suggest, cli meta networks suggest)
    walk the live role tree gap-first then increment-fallback, with
    deterministic output and non-zero exit on capacity overflow.
  * cli create role consumes both helpers when scaffolding a new role.
  * Lint extensions: bare-int port shape rejection, host-bound port
    collision check (single ints + relay span integers, inter excluded),
    band-membership check with documented allow-list for the legacy
    web-app-bigbluebutton.bigbluebutton.local.http: 48087 entry.

req-010 — run_after / lifecycle migration
  * Move galaxy_info.run_after and galaxy_info.lifecycle out of
    meta/main.yml into meta/services.yml.<primary_entity>.{run_after,
    lifecycle}; <primary_entity> is the value returned by
    get_entity_name(role_name).
  * For multi-entity roles whose primary entity has no compose service
    (web-app-bluesky → bluesky, web-app-matrix → matrix, desk/dev/drv/
    gen roles), create a dedicated metadata-only top-level entry under
    <primary_entity>.
  * Introduce utils/roles/meta_lookup.py with get_role_run_after /
    get_role_lifecycle that resolve <primary_entity> once and read from
    meta/services.yml; degrade gracefully when meta/services.yml is
    absent OR the field is absent; raise MetaServicesShapeError when the
    file exists but is malformed.
  * Update every consumer (utils/service_registry, utils/invokable,
    cli/meta/applications/resolution/run_after/__main__, cli/meta/roles/
    lifecycle_filter/__main__, cli/meta/applications/resolution/combined,
    cli/build/{tree,graph,role_include}, cli/deploy/development/{common,
    init,deps,deploy}, plugins/filter/canonical_domains_map, etc.) to
    use the helper.
  * Lint guards: no run_after/lifecycle in meta/main.yml; lifecycle
    values restricted to {planned,pre-alpha,alpha,beta,stable,deprecated};
    run_after/lifecycle never on a non-primary entity; empty run_after
    lists rejected.

Also folded into this change set
  * services_disabler now writes `services.<svc>.{enabled,shared}` into
    host_vars instead of the old `compose.services.<svc>.{...}` path; the
    discover/find pair walks meta/services.yml and only treats entries
    carrying enabled/shared/provides as provider declarations (so
    metadata-only entries from req-010 do not create spurious provider
    rows).
  * service_registry skips `run_after` deps whose target was filtered
    out via SERVICES_DISABLED instead of failing the whole load.
  * cli/mirror/resolver and cli/create/inventory/mirror_overrides emit/
    consume the new applications.<role>.services.<svc>.image shape
    (mirror.md updated to match).
  * utils/domains/list.build_applications_from_roles now reads
    meta/server.yml directly (it had been silently returning {} since
    config/main.yml stopped existing).
  * utils/roles/resource_validation.filter_roles_by_min_storage reads
    meta/services.yml.<entity>.min_storage instead of the legacy
    compose.services path.
  * web-app-bluesky pre-clones the social-app build context BEFORE
    sys-svc-compose so the build context is on disk by the time
    sys-stk-front-proxy/tasks/main.yml flushes the docker build handler.
  * 4 meta/variants.yml files (svc-ai-ollama, web-app-phpmyadmin,
    web-app-wordpress, web-app-keycloak) lose their `compose: services:`
    wrapper so deep-merge over meta/services.yml lands on the new
    file-root shape.

Validation
  * Unit tests:        1571 passed.
  * Lint tests:        50 passed.
  * Integration tests: 161 passed (1 skipped).
  * Full-cycle fresh-purged-apps deploy succeeded for the 8-app validation
    set: web-app-{nextcloud,wordpress,yourls,bigbluebutton,bluesky,gitea,
    discourse,mattermost}.

kevinveenbirkenbach a55c99ef62 refactor(compose): replace docker lookup with container and unify compose paths
- Rename lookup plugin from `docker` to `container`
- Switch all lookups from `lookup('docker', ...)` to `lookup('container', ...)`
- Normalize compose file keys:
  - docker_compose → compose
  - docker_compose_override → compose_override
  - docker_compose_ca_override → compose_ca_override
- Centralize compose path resolution via docker_paths_utils
- Update compose_file_args to always derive paths from DIR_COMPOSITIONS
- Align all roles, templates, and vars with container/compose naming
- Update and rename unit tests accordingly

This prepares the codebase for engine-agnostic container backends
(e.g. Docker ↔ Podman) and removes legacy docker-specific assumptions.

kevinveenbirkenbach 56aea31667 refactor(docker): replace docker_compose vars with docker lookup across roles
Remove implicit docker_compose variable usage and resolve all docker paths
(files, directories, env) via lookup('docker', application_id).
This prevents scope leakage, centralizes path resolution, and makes docker
context deterministic across roles and handlers.

kevinveenbirkenbach 217bb4d7f5 fix(web-app-listmonk): make database install/upgrade idempotent and CI-safe
Refactor Listmonk database setup into a dedicated task routine.

- Add 01_database.yml for centralized DB lifecycle handling
- Detect reachable and empty database reliably
- Run --install only on empty databases
- Run --upgrade only when DB is initialized and MODE_UPDATE is enabled
- Tolerate SIGPIPE (rc=141) from yes-pipe via failed_when
- Use docker compose run for non-interactive install/upgrade

This prevents failing CI runs and ensures deterministic Listmonk bootstrap.

kevinveenbirkenbach 8d02830d37 fix(web-app-listmonk): use shared database container instead of compose postgres service
Switch Listmonk database access from docker compose exec postgres to docker exec on the shared database container.
This fixes initialization and upgrade failures when using a shared PostgreSQL stack.

- Introduce LISTMONK_EXEC_DATABASE helper command
- Use shared DB container for schema checks and SQL updates
- Prevent failures when no local postgres service exists in listmonk compose project

kevinveenbirkenbach 986f959696 Refactor webserver proxy variables and fix BigBlueButton deployment behavior
Refactor proxy/webserver configuration variables to a consistent webserver_* naming scheme across roles. Replace legacy variables like proxy_extra_configuration, client_max_body_size, vhost_flavour, location_ws and ws_port with webserver_extra_configuration, webserver_client_max_body_size, webserver_vhost_flavour, webserver_websocket_location and webserver_websocket_port. Update NGINX vhost and location templates (html, upload, ws, basic, ws_generic) as well as callers (sys-front-inj-all, sys-stk-front-proxy, various web-app-* and web-svc-* roles) to use the new naming.

Tighten docker-compose Git repository handling by making docker_git_repository_pull depend on docker_git_repository_address being defined, a string and non-empty. This avoids accidental Git operations when the repository address is unset or of the wrong type.

Refactor the BigBlueButton role structure and fix deployment bugs: introduce 01_core.yml to orchestrate docker/proxy setup, database seeding, websocket map deployment, docker-compose overrides and admin/bootstrap logic in a single once-executed entrypoint. Rename supporting task files (02_docker-compose.yml, 03_administrator.yml, 04_dependencies.yml) and update tasks/main.yml to delegate via include_tasks with run_once_web_app_bigbluebutton. Improve Greenlight admin creation behavior by treating the 'Email has already been taken' error as a non-fatal, unchanged outcome and running user:set_admin_role as a fallback, both for the primary password and the OIDC starred-password path.

Also standardize vhost flavour selection for services like Mailu, Discourse, CDN, Collabora, Coturn, OnlyOffice, Simpleicons and web-svc-logout by explicitly passing webserver_vhost_flavour where needed and aligning client_max_body_size and websocket configuration with the new webserver_* variables.

kevinveenbirkenbach 9082443753 Refactor docker compose exec usage
Introduce centralized variables:
- docker_compose_command_base
- docker_compose_command_exec

Replaced hardcoded 'docker compose exec' with '{{ docker_compose_command_exec }}'
across multiple roles (BigBlueButton, EspoCRM, Friendica, Listmonk, Mailu, Matrix, OpenProject).
Ensures consistent environment file loading and reduces duplicated code.

kevinveenbirkenbach e6803e5614 refactor(ansible): normalize include_role syntax and unify host config paths via path_join
- Remove stray spaces after include_role: across many roles to ensure clean YAML and
  consistent linting/formatting.
- Listmonk:
  - Introduce LISTMONK_CONFIG_HOST = [ docker_compose.directories.config, 'config.toml' ] | path_join
  - Use that var in the template task (dest) and the docker-compose volume mount
- Matrix:
  - Build MATRIX_SYNAPSE_CONFIG_PATH_HOST, MATRIX_SYNAPSE_LOG_PATH_HOST, and
    MATRIX_ELEMENT_CONFIG_PATH_HOST via path_join
- Mobilizon:
  - Build mobilizon_host_conf_exs_file via path_join
  - Keep get_app_conf strictness unchanged (defaults to True in our filter), so behavior
    remains strict even though the explicit third arg was dropped
- Simpleicons:
  - Build server.js and package.json host paths via path_join
- Numerous web-app roles (Confluence, Discourse, EspoCRM, Friendica, Funkwhale, Gitea,
  GitLab, Jenkins, Joomla, Listmonk, Mailu, Mastodon, Matomo, Matrix, MediaWiki,
  Mobilizon, Moodle, Nextcloud, OpenProject, Peertube, Pixelfed, Pretix, Roulette Wheel,
  Snipe-IT, Syncope, Taiga, WordPress, XWiki, Yourls) and web-svc roles (coturn,
  libretranslate, simpleicons) updated for consistent include_role formatting

Why:
- path_join avoids double slashes and missing separators across different config roots
- Consistent include_role: formatting improves readability and prevents linter noise
