Every script a role ships now lives under `files/<language>/`, and the unit
suite is split the same way: `tests/unit/python/` beside new sibling trees for
the other languages. `tests/lint/filesystem/test_role_files_layout.py` keeps it
that way; directories whose shape is dictated from outside carry a `.nocheck`
naming the constraint (Docker build contexts, WordPress mu-plugins, the Joomla
extension, Odoo addons, Playwright suites, the `files/test/test.sh` harness
that `test-e2e-cli` resolves generically).
This cannot be applied in halves. Moving a file and repointing what names it
are the same change: 14 references resolve only at deploy time, so the tree is
green either before or after, never between.
Those 14 were found by static resolution over every reference class, not by the
test suite -- a full `make quality-high` was green while all of them were
broken:
* 7 `src:` values built from a role variable holding a bare filename
(svc-bkp-remote-2-local, decidim, espocrm, friendica, joomla, pixelfed x2).
The variable doubles as the destination name inside the container, so the
language segment belongs at the call site, not in the variable.
* `sys-service/tasks/04_base.yml` resolved every consumer's systemd script
through `first_found(..., errors='strict')` over `files/script.{sh,py}`.
18 roles ship exactly that and have no template fallback: the play would
have died on each.
* `sys-front-inj-javascript` fell back to `<role>/files/javascript.js`; the
interface now reads `files/javascript/javascript.js`.
* `sys-front-inj-logout/templates/head_sub.j2` built the cache-busting mtime
path through `path_absolute(... 'files', ...)`.
* 4 `ansible.builtin.script:` invocations naming a bare command
(pull.py, prune.sh, set_postgres_superuser_password.sh, ganesha-serve.sh).
* `dev-python/files/shell/install.sh` pointed at a sibling role's script.
Depth-dependent paths inside the moved trees were bumped accordingly: 59
`parents[N]` computations, 12 relative climbs, and the per-role recover CLI,
whose path `cli/administration/recover/recoverers.py` still assembled from the
pre-move location.

3529 invalid comments in 528 files, grandfathered in while the linter
only saw the working-tree diff. Removal ran through the linter's own
collectors, so detection and deletion cannot drift: a comment whose
opener line is blank before it and whose closer line is blank after it
loses all its lines, anything else loses only the comment region, and a
line left holding a bare delimiter goes with it.
Five files keep their comments behind a nocheck marker instead. Four are
upstream configs whose inline docs are upstream's own (mautrix, systemd
journald, nextcloud-oidc-login, MediaWiki). In littlejs the
commented-out entries ARE the deactivation mechanism for an example
tile, so deleting them would delete configuration.

Sixteen role specs decided something immediately after an action that had not settled, because locator.isVisible() discards the timeout it is handed. Three shapes: an assertion that could never fire, a login outcome read off the DOM before the app re-rendered, and a branch that selected a locator by whether an iframe had mounted yet.
The ones that could never fire are the worst of them. taiga test-seaweedfs polled for a rejection toast right after saveAction.click(), so a real upload rejection was swallowed and misreported as a SeaweedFS storage failure; friendica ldapauth decided whether to run its wrong-password test at the instant a fresh context finished goto, so a slow render skipped a security check silently. wordpress test-discourse-roundtrip picked titleBox by whether the Gutenberg iframe had mounted and, when it had not, bound the wrong one and then burned the full budget failing with a misleading message.
Every conversion keeps the control flow: the .catch(() => false) fallback stays, so a waitFor that throws still yields the boolean the caller expects. Twenty of the twenty-two waits use base 2000, one 3000, one 5000. resolveTimeout multiplies by five on an onion target, so the common case is ten seconds there. Across thirteen onion traces the largest wait of any kind that ever succeeded was 790 ms, so ten seconds is a twelvefold margin; the bases started higher and were pulled down because a swallowed deadline is a duration in disguise - where the optional element is normally absent, the full timeout is paid on every run, including green ones.
Not exercised: no spec was run. Three of these make a test stricter, so a job that turns red on them is surfacing a real failure that was previously hidden, not regressing.

Three conflicts, each resolved by combining both sides rather than picking one.
compose.yml passes both env vars through to the container: swarm-nfs adds
INFINITO_SWARM_MGR_IP, this branch adds INFINITO_TOR_SOCKS_PORT, and neither
substitutes for the other.
daemon.json.j2 takes the data-root block from swarm-nfs and keeps HEAD's dns
key. The incoming side writes networks.internet.dns directly; lookup(
'container_dns') already returns that value as its clearnet entry and prepends
the docker0 bridge on a Tor node in compose mode, so the incoming form is a
strict subset and dropping it loses nothing.
The WordPress CA-trust addon spec gains skipUnlessServiceEnabled("sso") from
swarm-nfs alongside HEAD's gotoOnion and resolveTimeout, and asserts on the
Plugin Name the mu-plugin header declares - the mustuse screen renders that,
not the filename - with resolveTimeout applied to the literal the incoming
side left bare.

The gate is the image entrypoint and holds back every swarm task slot
other than 1 until slot 1 has initialised the shared volume. Its lock
probe was
flock -n "$APP_DIR/friendica-init-sync.lock" true
which never succeeds on an NFS-backed /var/www/html: flock(1) opens a
path argument O_RDONLY and takes an exclusive lock, while flock over NFS
is emulated as a whole-file POSIX write lock and needs the descriptor
open for writing, so it returns EBADF. The probe sat in the loop's break
condition, so the loop never terminated and slots 2 and up never reached
the entrypoint. The stderr redirect hid the error, which is why this
went unnoticed.
Open the descriptor for writing instead, in a subshell so the lock is
released again before the gate hands over, and let errors surface.
The two file predicates cannot carry this on their own: VERSION is
rsynced into the volume before autoinstall runs, and the installer
writes local.config.php in createConfig(), ahead of installDatabase().
Both are therefore already true while slot 1 is still installing. The
lock is the only signal that tracks the critical section itself.
Read the config path inside the non-primary branch as well, so compose
and slot 1 start even when the variable is absent.

Conflicts: keep both new passthrough env vars; adopt the swarm-nfs
ollama manager-ops split while porting our model-pull retry hardening
into it. Strip three narration comments the stricter comment lint
rejects.

The upstream entrypoint rsyncs VERSION early inside the flock critical section it holds through the whole autoinstall, so non-slot-1 tasks passed the version-only gate mid-install, hit the still-held lock and died with an instant EIO from the blocking flock over the soft NFSv4 mount (six tasks inside slot 1's 45s install window). Strengthen the gate: require the config file and a non-blocking flock probe (single lock RPC, any error treated as not-ready) on top of the version match, which also covers the post-upgrade dbstructure window. The config path now flows from the FRIENDICA_CONFIG_FILE var through the compose environment into the gate and both container-side PHP helpers instead of three hardcoded copies.

The upstream entrypoint serialises its first-run init with flock on friendica-init-sync.lock inside the shared /var/www/html, which sits on NFSv4 on this branch; local_lock=flock is silently ignored on vers=4 mounts, the lock contends across replicas over server-side locking and the set -eu entrypoint dies with exit 65 on every worker, pushing all replicas onto the manager. Build a custom image whose entrypoint gate lets only task slot 1 run the init while other slots wait until the volume VERSION matches the image VERSION - the same pattern nextcloud already uses.

Over Tor the redirect chain behind a login/logout/OIDC click routinely exceeds Playwright's fixed 30s action timeout, so the click throws before the flow's scaled waits run. Sweep all role Playwright suites and the shared persona helpers: give every navigation/auth-transition click an onion-scaled timeout (.click({ timeout: resolveTimeout(30_000) })) and route the remaining raw millisecond literals (timeout options, waitForTimeout, sleep-promise setTimeout, positional wait args) through resolveTimeout. Local UI clicks (menus, toggles, modal dismissals, DOM clicks inside evaluate) stay untouched.
Two new lints keep it that way: test_no_raw_timeout_literals forbids raw numeric timeout literals in Playwright specs (opt-out: nocheck: raw-timeout), test_persona_clicks_scaled requires every click in the shared persona auth flows to carry a resolveTimeout timeout (opt-out: nocheck: unscaled-click).
Verified: node --check on all 133 changed JS files, all 13 playwright lints green, make autoformat clean, make test green (2745+196+163+4 tests OK).
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
New lint test_no_raw_goto.py forbids raw `page.goto(...)` in role playwright specs + persona flows (the gotoOnion wrapper in personas/utils is exempt) so navigation retries transient Tor-transport errors over onion. Migrates every raw call across ~75 roles (343 sites) to `gotoOnion(page, ...)` and teaches gotoOnion to detect relative onion URLs (`isOnionCanonical`). gotoOnion is a behaviour-identical drop-in on clearnet (single attempt, same return). Verified: no-raw-goto lint green, eslint 0 errors, make test green.

Add the global TIMEOUT_FACTOR and a shared timeouts.js helper: resolveTimeout(base) scales by TIMEOUT_FACTOR and, over a .onion target, an extra multiplier, so Tor's per-request latency no longer trips hard-coded timeouts. Migrate every raw timeout in the specs (timeout:/timeout=/setTimeout/waitForTimeout) to resolveTimeout, stage the helper in all three staging paths, and add test_no_raw_timeouts to forbid raw numeric timeouts. Clearnet behaviour is unchanged (factor 1: resolveTimeout(N) === N).

Addon specs assert the integration is genuinely wired (admin config holds the partner value, host distinct from the app), not just that a page loads. Robust to the live DOM: strict-mode-safe locators (.first()), enabled-signal from the app's own panel (not the lazy apps list), and test.skip (not fail) when an app is disabled (NC-version-incompatible) or its partner role is absent/unconfigured.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <noreply@anthropic.com>
Add tests/lint/ansible/services/test_addons_playwright_spec.py requiring roles/<role>/files/playwright/addons/<id>.spec.js for EVERY addon of EVERY role — no mechanism auto-exempt and no # nocheck escape. Ship the 87 per-addon specs (gated via skipUnlessAddonEnabled so they skip cleanly when the addon is disabled in the current variant), the test-e2e-playwright addon-gating harness (addon-gating.js, playwright.config.js, recursive 02_run_one.yml), the shared odoo helper, and the ADDON_<ID>_ENABLED flags in the six playwright.env.j2 templates. Relax test_env_file_schema to skip Jinja-templated keys in the ADDON loop. Doc updates (suppression.md, requirements/026) follow in a separate commit.

The earlier idempotent guard latched onto a hidden duplicate of biber's handle (submitButton.or(handle).first() resolved to a hidden vcard-short-addr div), so the follow test still timed out on the async pass.
Reset the relationship before following instead: a single GET to /contact/unfollow?auto=1&url=<profile> unfollows biber when already followed and is a harmless redirect otherwise. The follow confirmation form is then always fresh, so every run exercises the real follow action (submit, 302 to /contact/<id>, biber's handle).
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.8 <noreply@anthropic.com>
The async deploy pass re-runs the suite against the same persistent instance, where biber is already a contact. /contact/follow then renders an "already added this contact" page without #dfrn-request-submit-button, so the test timed out 60s waiting for the submit button (only the sync pass passed).
Wait for the submit button or biber's identity handle, submit the confirmation only on the fresh-follow path, and assert biber's handle as the shared post-follow proof across both passes.

The biber+admin side-by-side scenario asserted on `a[href*='/logout']`
to verify admin's session survives biber's logout, but in variant 2
(ldap-only, no oauth2-proxy) Friendica's frio theme renders the logout
link as `href="logout"` (relative, no leading slash). The substring
match `/logout` therefore never hit, the assertion timed out, and the
deploy failed at `Fail if there were Playwright failures` (job
77602110488 web-app-friendica plus 77602110466 web-app-fediwall which
re-runs the same spec via variant-2 bundling on run 26362676803).
The trace.zip of the failing assertion shows the page IS fully
authenticated — banner with the Administrator user-menu button, the
New post link, full sidebar navigation — and `id="topbar-first"
class="topbar" role="menubar"` is present in all four captured HTML
snapshots. Variant 0 (oauth2+ldap+oidc) passed with the old selector
because the oauth2-proxy round-trip emits `/logout` substrings in the
HTML that variant 2's direct ldap flow does not.
Switch the assertion to the same composite selector both Friendica
login helpers (loginViaOauth2ProxyAndFriendica, loginViaFriendicaDirect)
already rely on:
"#topbar-first, #navbar-apps-menu, a[href*='/logout']"
`#topbar-first` matches in both variants (verified in trace.zip),
keeps a[href*='/logout'] as a third OR option for forward
compatibility, and uses toBeVisible to match the login helpers'
`waitFor({ state: 'visible' })` semantics. Session-bleed detection
(the real intent of the test) stays intact: if admin's session were
killed by biber's logout, /network would redirect to /login where
none of the three selectors match.
Static check only (per operator request).

Implements docs/requirements/021-sso-flavor-migration.md atomically:
* Schema: every role's meta/services.yml replaces the parallel
`oauth2:` / `oidc:` top-level blocks with a single `sso:` block
carrying `enabled`, `shared`, and a `flavor` discriminator
(`oidc` | `oauth2` | `saml`; default `oidc`). Flavor-specific
sub-keys live under `sso.<flavor>.*` (`sso.oauth2.{origin,acl,
allowed_groups}`, `sso.oidc.plugin`).
* Provider role: roles/web-app-oauth2-proxy/ is deleted in its
entirety; its 5 sidecar templates move under
roles/web-app-keycloak/templates/sso_proxy/, and the per-consumer
rendering task lives at roles/web-app-keycloak/tasks/sso_proxy.yml.
web-app-keycloak now declares `provides: sso`.
* Runtime: new resolver utils/roles/applications/services/sso.py
centralises the SSO predicates (`is_enabled`, `is_proxy_gated`,
`is_oidc_native`) and the oauth2 sub-values
(`oauth2_origin_{host,port}`, `oauth2_acl`, `oauth2_allowed_groups`).
Three lookup plugins consume the resolver: `sso` (single-app
predicate access), `sso_proxy_consumers` (enumerates oauth2-flavored
consumers), `sso_oidc_plugin` (renamed from `oidc_flavor`, Nextcloud
plugin selector). sys-stk-backend, sys-svc-compose, sys-svc-proxy
and plugins/filter/compose_volumes.py all gate on
`lookup('sso', ..., 'is_proxy_gated')` instead of manually combining
`enabled` and `flavor`.
* Identifier renames repo-wide: `services.<entity>.ports.local.oauth2`
→ `ports.local.sso`; `PORT_BANDS.local.oauth2` → `PORT_BANDS.local.sso`;
`OAUTH2_PROXY_*` env/Jinja vars → `SSO_PROXY_*`;
`oauth2_proxy_cookie_secret` → `sso_proxy_cookie_secret`;
`OAUTH2_SERVICE_ENABLED` + `OIDC_SERVICE_ENABLED` collapse into
`SSO_SERVICE_ENABLED`; Playwright gating helpers
(isServiceEnabled/skipUnlessServiceEnabled/requireService/safeIsEnabled/
safeSkipUnlessEnabled) move from `oidc`/`oauth2` to `sso`.
* Dual-block resolution: per req's Background-Table, web-app-bookwyrm
is `flavor: oauth2`; web-app-gitea and web-app-friendica keep
`flavor: oauth2` with their existing `oauth2.acl.blacklist`
(/user/login) and `oauth2.acl.whitelist` (federation + discovery
endpoints) — preserving the operative oauth2-proxy gating.
* Tests: the two mutual-exclusion guards
(tests/integration/iam/oauth2_oidc/test_mutual_exclusive.py and
test_acl_mutual_exclusive.py) are deleted per Decision #10;
test_oauth2_contract.py is renamed and rewritten to
test_sso_contract.py, asserting that `flavor: oauth2` roles carry
`oauth2.origin.{host,port}` plus `ports.local.sso`; test_sso.py
(web-app integration) now requires the unified `sso:` block with an
explicit flavor or a `# nocheck: sso` opt-out; new
tests/lint/repository/no_legacy_sso_paths/ guards the source tree
against re-introducing the legacy strings.
* Docs: req 21 itself has every AC checked off, and reqs 006, 008,
009, 013, 015, 016, 019, 020 plus 10+ role READMEs and
docs/contributing/actions/testing/suppression.md are updated to the
unified SSO naming.
Empirically validated end-to-end against the validation app set
(web-app-keycloak, web-app-nextcloud, web-app-bookwyrm, web-app-gitea,
web-app-friendica, web-app-dashboard) in matrix variants 0 and 1; v2
also passes the 4 target roles' Playwright after a documented
pre-existing KC_HOSTNAME-drift workaround (separate concern, not
caused by this refactor).
BREAKING CHANGE: every consumer of `services.oauth2.*`,
`services.oidc.*`, `OAUTH2_PROXY_*`, `OAUTH2_SERVICE_ENABLED`,
`OIDC_SERVICE_ENABLED`, `oauth2_proxy_cookie_secret`,
`oauth2_proxy_application_id`, `ports.local.oauth2`, the
`web-app-oauth2-proxy` role, or the legacy gating helper service names
(`oidc`/`oauth2`) must migrate to the unified `sso` shape documented
in docs/requirements/021-sso-flavor-migration.md.

- Remove stale 0-byte ldapauth.config.php leftover when LDAP is disabled
in a matrix variant (docker bind-mount target survives in the html
volume after the bind mount is dropped, breaking bin/console).
- Force bin/console dbstructure update before addon sync; matrix variant
rounds can leave the friendica html volume's local.config.php in place
while the shared MariaDB has been re-provisioned without the friendica
tables, so addon enable then writes to non-existent tables and the
next playwright login times out.
- Add autoload-aware probe_hook_table.php; the previous inline PHP probe
always returned rc=255 on Friendica\\Module\\Register::OPEN and only
worked accidentally as a 120s sleep via retries.
- Reorganize role files into files/php/ + files/shell/ subdirs and drop
the multi-line explanatory comments now that the why-lines live in the
commit body.

Split each role's playwright.spec.js into `_shared.js` (env, login/post
helpers, lifecycle hook) plus one `test-*.js` per scenario, registered
from the orchestrator via `require().register(shared)` — matches the
pattern already used by web-app-pixelfed and web-app-taiga so each test
stays atomar and individually inspectable.
Adds two new friendica tests:
- test-anonymous-profile-view.js: pins the oauth2-proxy ACL whitelist
for `/profile/` by asserting an anonymous visitor reaches biber's
profile without being bounced to Keycloak. Materialises the friendica
user row through the LDAP login path first since the profile would
otherwise 404.
- test-admin-follow-biber.js: exercises the local-instance follow flow
end-to-end (POST `/contact/follow` → 302 → `/contact/<id>` with
biber's nick@host on the contact detail page).
Also extends `web-app-friendica/meta/services.yml` `services.oauth2.acl`
with the whitelist surfaces (federation/discovery, public profile +
community feed, theme assets, instance-info pages) the new
anonymous-profile-view test pins.

The shell wrapper was a thin pipe around an inline PHP heredoc — only
needed because the actual count + retry logic lives in PHP land. Move
the logic into a standalone `verify_addon_hooks.php` so the PHP code
is lintable, syntax-highlightable, and free of double quoting.
The ansible task now pipes the file content via stdin into
`compose exec -T friendica php -- ldapauth 2`. PHP reads the script
from stdin and picks up addon + min-hooks from $argv. Logic
unchanged: count rows in `hook` for `%addon/<X>/<X>.php`, recycle
disable+enable on a miss, re-check, fail loud if still empty.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
Empirically, `bin/console addon enable ldapauth` on a fresh stack
writes `config[cat=addons,k=ldapauth]` but the Hook::register() rows
from `_install()` are silently dropped — `addon list enabled` passes
while the `hook` table stays empty, so every authenticate hook is a
no-op and biber/admin login silently re-renders the form. The race
recovers on a second disable+enable cycle from a clean shell.
Add a post-sync verifier (verify_addon_hooks.sh) that PDO-queries
the hook table for `%addon/ldapauth/ldapauth.php` and, if fewer than
MIN_HOOKS rows are present, runs one disable+enable cycle and
re-checks. Fails loud on the second miss so the broken state surfaces
in the deploy instead of as a downstream Playwright login regression.
Wire it into 04_addons.yml after the existing addon sync loop,
gated on FRIENDICA_LDAP_ENABLED.
Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com>
Root cause: upstream friendica-addons/ldapauth's `ldap_createaccount`
returns the raw `User::create()` result (`['user' => UserRow, 'password' => '']`),
but the `authenticate` hook only sets `authenticated = 1` when
`$user['uid']` is non-empty — never true for the autocreate path. First-
login LDAP users (e.g. biber) were inserted into `friendica.user` but
the session was never started, so /network kept serving the login form.
Encoded as an idempotent in-container patch task in `tasks/02_ldap.yml`
+ `files/patch_ldapauth_autocreate.sh` (reports PATCHED on first run,
ALREADY on subsequent runs). Runs whenever LDAP is wired, gated by
FRIENDICA_LDAP_ENABLED.
Other changes in the same stack:
- meta/services.yml: drop keycloakpassword addon (oauth2-proxy in front
owns SSO); ldap.enabled now follows svc-db-openldap group presence so
the variant matrix can disable it without a static override.
- tasks/01_core.yml + tasks/06_user_bootstrap.yml: pre-create the
administrator only in LDAP-disabled variants — when LDAP is wired,
ldapauth materialises the row on first admin login.
- files/playwright.spec.js: variant-aware spec replacing the parked
test.skip cases. Three tests now run: guest flow (always), admin
native login (picks double-login vs direct based on
OAUTH2_SERVICE_ENABLED), biber + admin side-by-side in isolated
contexts. PERSONA_* still blocked — friendica has no header-trusted
autocreate path.
- templates/playwright.env.j2: expose BIBER_* + service-gate flags.
- inventories/development/default.yml: biber email aligned with the
oauth2-proxy `email_domains = infinito.example` filter so biber's
Keycloak login isn't 403'd at the proxy.
- TODO.md: SAML migration outlined as the long-term replacement for
the double-login (currently second hop silently bypasses Keycloak 2FA).
Drive-by: trim double-space before `# nocheck` in
roles/sys-aur/meta/services.yml.
Verified on VARIANT=0 (oauth2 + ldap + oidc all enabled): three
playwright tests green, failed=0.

Static fixes for the 6 Class 2 roles flagged by CI run 25680106742,
applied without a fresh deploy:
- fediwall: PERSONA_BIBER_BLOCKED + PERSONA_ADMINISTRATOR_BLOCKED
rendered (static Vue SPA, no auth surface; biber covered by the
bespoke cross-fediverse scenario). Confidence 30% → 75%.
- mattermost: PROMETHEUS_BASE_URL rendered conditionally on prometheus
deploy + test.skip guards so the two metricz/scrape tests no longer
crash on undefined.
- taiga: dashboard account-menu trigger locator prefers
getByRole("button", { name: /account/i }) so we don't accidentally
click a theme toggle or hamburger that doesn't expose Logout.
- openwebui: skipUnlessServiceEnabled("oidc") on both OIDC tests so
v1/v2 (OIDC off) skip cleanly instead of crashing on the 404'd
/oauth/oidc/login fallback.
- bigbluebutton: skipUnlessServiceEnabled("oidc") + Greenlight
?sso=true autoSignIn fallback that clicks the explicit OIDC button
if the auto-redirect doesn't fire within 10s.
- friendica: Sign-in button locator scoped to the form holding the
password field + broadened label regex
(sign in / log in / anmelden / connexion / iniciar / entrar) so
the bespoke admin/biber login stays resilient against Keycloak-vs-
Friendica form landing.
Matrix updated: fediwall jumps to 75%, the other five carry per-row
notes documenting what landed and what still needs deploy-time
verification.

Promote four cheap rules in `eslint.config.js`:
* `no-unused-vars`: warn → error (with `argsIgnorePattern: "^_"`)
* `no-var`: error
* `eqeqeq`: error (always)
* `playwright/no-wait-for-navigation`: off → error
* `linterOptions.reportUnusedDisableDirectives`: off → warn
Add a repo-root CommonJS block so `eslint.config.js` itself sees Node
globals (`require`, `module`).
Fix every flagged offender:
* 138 stale persona-helper imports across 70 spec files
(`isServiceEnabled`, `skipUnlessServiceEnabled`, `runAdminFlow`,
... — leftovers from the SPOT consolidation).
* 4 unused catch bindings → modern `catch {}` syntax.
* 2 unused `dashboardBaseUrl` declarations (minio, moodle).
* 1 unused `label` arg → renamed to `_label` to opt out per the
argsIgnorePattern.
* 1 intentionally-kept legacy helper in web-app-wordpress's spec
receives a per-line `eslint-disable-next-line` with reason; the
preceding docstring already explained why it stays.
* 1 `page.waitForNavigation` in web-app-fediwall's Mastodon OIDC flow
receives a per-line disable with reason — the navigation target
depends on the runtime OIDC issuer; `waitForURL` would need a
runtime-built pattern.
* 10 stale `// eslint-disable-next-line no-console` directives now
surfaced by `reportUnusedDisableDirectives`; removed.
ESLint after this pass: 0 errors, 154 warnings (148 pre-existing
`playwright/expect-expect` plus 6 `playwright/no-force-option` that
were already inherited from `playwright/flat/recommended`).

Strip every `req <NNN>`, `req-<NNN>`, `Requirement <NNN>`,
`requirement-<NNN>`, and `docs/requirements/<NNN>-...md` mention from
non-Markdown source files. Comments anchored to requirement numbers
rot when requirements are renumbered or rewritten and conflate
present-state behaviour (which the comment should describe) with the
audit trail of how the code got there (which belongs in commit
messages, PR descriptions, and the requirement file itself).
* Document the rule in `docs/contributing/documentation.md` under
"Comments". Code MUST describe the *why* in present-state language;
contract enforcement lives in tests, not folklore.
* Clean 254 source files across `roles/`, `tests/`, `plugins/`,
`cli/`, `scripts/`, `utils/`, `group_vars/`, and the repo-root
`eslint.config.js`. Pure comment / docstring / log-message edits;
no behavioural change.
* Add `tests/lint/repository/test_no_req_references_in_code.py` to
enforce the rule going forward across `.js`, `.py`, `.yml`,
`.yaml`, `.j2`, and `.sh` files. The legacy
`test_no_stale_requirement_refs.py` is exempt as the only file
whose purpose is to detect these very tokens.

Both helpers were inlined verbatim in 71 of the role-local
`playwright.spec.js` files (52 with the compact form, 19 with the
verbose form, plus one parameter-name variant). All bodies were
semantically identical.
Changes
-------
- New `roles/test-e2e-playwright/files/personas/utils/dotenv.js` holds
the canonical pair (`decodeDotenvQuotedValue` and `normalizeBaseUrl`),
re-exported through `personas/utils/index.js` so specs that
`require("./personas")` get them via the existing aggregator.
- Every role spec drops its inline copies and pulls the helpers from
`./personas` instead. Specs that only reference one of the two
carry only that one in the destructuring (no unused-import noise).
Doc
---
`docs/contributing/artefact/files/role/playwright.specs.js.md` no
longer carries the "once a third spec needs them, MUST be promoted"
directive: the helpers live at the shared path and inline copies are
forbidden.
Verification
------------
- 419 passed / 1 skipped / 0 failed across `tests/lint/`,
`tests/integration/roles/`, `tests/unit/plugins/lookup/`.
- `make lint-javascript`: 0 errors, 283 warnings (unchanged from
baseline; no new unused-imports introduced).
- 0 inline `function decodeDotenvQuotedValue|normalizeBaseUrl`
definitions remain in any role spec.

Wires runGuestFlow / runBiberFlow / runAdminFlow from
roles/test-e2e-playwright/files/personas/ into another ~28 roles
(akaunting, baserow, bluesky, bookwyrm, bridgy-fed, decidim, discourse,
fider, friendica, fusiondirectory, gitea, hugo, jenkins, joomla, kix,
matrix, mattermost, mig, moodle, odoo, opencloud, peertube, pixelfed,
postmarks, sphinx, taiga, yourls, web-svc-libretranslate, web-svc-xmpp).
Each role gets the spec.js persona scenarios plus matching
meta/services.yml gate entries and playwright.env.j2 env wiring;
admin-flow callers pass a role-specific adminInteraction that drives
an actual management surface so the body is not a stub.
Reason: continuation of d3e5ebe44 — req 019 Rule 3 demands every
role exercise the canonical guest/biber/administrator flows; this
batch closes the long-tail role list against the central library so
per-role drift cannot reintroduce the stub-shaped bodies the new lint
forbids.

Add tests/lint/repository/test_inline_script_block_size.py: scans
roles/, tasks/, playbooks/ and .github/ YAML for literal block scalars
(`|` / `|-` / `|+`) following the keys `shell`, `command`, `script`,
`raw` (Ansible) and `run` (GitHub Actions). Counts logical lines —
trailing-`\` continuations collapse to one line, blank lines are
ignored — and fails when a block exceeds 12.
FOLDED scalars (`>` / `>-` / `>+`) are exempt: they are one shell
statement after YAML folding, even if they span many source lines for
readability.
The walk goes through `utils.cache.files.iter_project_files(...)` per
`docs/agents/action/testing.md` so the shared project-tree cache is
reused across the lint suite.
The fail message tells the author exactly how to fix: Ansible tasks
get the built-in `script:` module (collapses the task to one line);
GitHub Actions workflows extract into `scripts/github/<name>.sh` and
call it via `run: bash scripts/github/<name>.sh` (or
`_helpers/scripts/github/<name>.sh` when the workflow checks out the
repo into `_helpers/`).
Extract the pre-existing literal-block offenders so the new lint
ships green:
Ansible (script: module, file under <role>/files/)

Upstream ldapauth.php gates autocreation on `$val == 'true'`. Under
PHP 8 a stored bool round-trips as int, so the comparison never
matched and every LDAP-only login was rejected.
Rework the biber/admin Playwright scenario to cover parallel
isolated logins (exercising the autocreate path for the non-admin
identity) instead of the fragile DM flow, so this regression is
caught end-to-end.
The topbar renders a `btn form-button-search` submit button before the
login form, so `button[type='submit']` would match the search button
first. Target the login form's own "Sign in" button by accessible role
and exact name, and apply the same fix to the DM composer's send
button to survive the same ordering hazard.
Friendica: admin dashboard login + biber-to-admin direct message flow,
both via the ldapauth addon path (no OIDC redirect). Logout exits
through the universal /logout endpoint.
Joomla: admin control-panel login at /administrator using the local
account provisioned from users.administrator.*, with the universal
/logout confirmed by re-rendering of the admin login form. Joomla is
a CMS, so no cross-user messaging scenario is covered.
Both roles gain templates/playwright.env.j2 (the discovery marker for
test-e2e-playwright) and files/playwright.spec.js.
