kernel nfsd loopback-deadlocks in the shared-kernel DinD labs (reclaim
-> writeback -> the same nfsd), wedging the heaviest labs per run, so
CI can only ever cover ganesha. Make ganesha the single default in
meta/services.yml and drop the per-variant RUNTIME switching; kernel
remains available as a deliberate, untested per-inventory override.

Add a systemd-driven rsync --link-dest backup of the NFS export into the
baudolo-compatible local snapshot tree, plus a pre-deploy snapshot hook in
the constructor. A missing export fails the nightly unit loudly, a failed
rsync removes its incomplete generation so it cannot poison the next
--link-dest, and rsync exit 24 from the live export is tolerated.
Both pre-deploy snapshot scripts (container and nfs) now resolve the
previous deploy's unit through a version glob, so the snapshot still runs
after a project version bump. The user-backup ssh wrapper whitelists the
new backup-nfs-to-local type for downstream pulls. The nfs-server role
declares the backup as a dynamic consumer with true/false pinning
variants; svc-bkp-container-2-local drops its variants.yml because
non-subject closure members resolve foreign round indices against it and
leak its companion pins into other rounds.
Unit tests execute the real script against tempdirs and prove hardlink
deduplication by inode, history isolation, delete semantics, loud failure
on a missing source, and cleanup of incomplete generations.

The inventory applications override in default.yml is dropped during inventory provisioning (CI ran kernel despite RUNTIME=github + a ganesha override), so select the flavor in meta/variants.yml where it reliably applies: ganesha for RUNTIME in [dev, act], kernel for github CI and production. meta/services.yml keeps kernel as the base default.

The github swarm legs picked the kernel NFS flavor inside the privileged DinD nfs-server, where kernel nfsd is not network-namespaced and wedges exportfs. Move flavor selection out of the role meta default and into the dev inventory: meta/services.yml now defaults to kernel (production); the development inventory overrides it to ganesha for the containerized runtimes (dev/act/github) and keeps kernel for real hosts (RUNTIME=host).
Add meta/variants.yml (kernel + ganesha) and a TODO to test both flavors via files/test.sh, plus server-side kernel-nfsd diagnostics in 12_collect_diagnostics.sh.
