A force_bridge app (matrix's MDAD flavor) deploys as a node-local compose stack and publishes its local port on its host, while openresty runs as an overlay task whose 127.0.0.1 is its own loopback; the readiness probe died on 502. The proxy_pass lookup now resolves networks.local.force_bridge (trust-tagged for the 2.19 templar, hard-failing on an unrendered template instead of silently falling back to loopback) and keys the decision on the real DEPLOYMENT_MODE, since such apps rewrite the effective mode to compose via compose_mode_force. The upstream becomes host.docker.internal:<local_port> rendered as a literal directive, because the request-time resolver cannot see /etc/hosts entries, and the swarm openresty service maps host.docker.internal to the host gateway like prometheus already does. Non-force_bridge renders stay byte-identical.

In swarm the shared openresty runs as an overlay container, so 127.0.0.1 is its own loopback, not the node's. bbb deploys node-local (host network) and its nginx binds the bbb-net gateway 10.7.7.1, a host IP the overlay reaches via inter-bridge routing. resolve_upstream now honors an opt-in services.<entity>.upstream_host in the compose branch (default 127.0.0.1) and bbb sets 10.7.7.1; proxy_pass collapses compose_mode_force apps to the static compose form. Compose keeps working because host-network openresty reaches 10.7.7.1 too. Validated live: curl bbb.talk/b/ returned 200.

Consumer lookup plugins now reach the merged config through the Ansible
lookup loader instead of importing get_merged_applications /
get_merged_domains from utils.cache. The merge stays one cached
implementation surfaced via the applications/config/domains/users lookups;
consumers call lookup_loader.get(...).run() (the compose_networks idiom).
- get_merged_applications walks the whole meta/ tree recursively
(meta/**/*.yml to applications.<app>.<path>, addons and any depth) and
folds the raw meta/volumes.yml subtree onto applications.<app>.volumes
after the templar render so the Jinja source: strings stay unrendered.
- 31 consumer lookups rerouted; providers (applications/config/
applications_current_play/users/domains) and the raw-volume accessors
(volume/nginx) keep the cache import behind # nocheck: lookup-cache-import.
- New lint test_no_cache_imports_in_lookups enforces the contract.
- nfs_flavor is now the flavor SPOT (svc-storage-nfs-server + nfs_client_src
resolve via lookup('nfs_flavor')); removed the unused STORAGE_NFS_FLAVOR
group_var. Extracted extract_default_credentials to
utils/cache/schema_credentials.py to keep applications.py under the cap.

Centralise the nginx proxy_pass directive in one source of truth (utils/networks/proxy.py + plugins/lookup/proxy_pass.py). Compose keeps the literal 127.0.0.1:<local> upstream; swarm resolves the service over the shared overlay at request time (variable upstream + http resolver) so a rescheduling backend never blocks openresty startup. Converts the html/media/upload/ws location partials, the keycloak oauth2 and login-iframe endpoints, and the logout endpoint to the lookup; adds the swarm resolver and the front-proxy service_key plumbing.
